    Hey Guys, Thankyou for all these replies, I dont know what to do for the best really because all my clients are mainly Windows XP and Windows 7. All I need to do is for the shortcuts for the programs to appear in there folders, I dont want the software to appear on the desktop. Does anybody know any 3rd party software that can do this for me.     Good Morning All, Is it possible to create program sets on a Windows Server 2003 R2 Vanilla network, Like in RM CC3 and CC4, you can use the RMMC to create program sets which will appear on the users all programs list. The reason I want to do this is so the resources I assign to users are organized in the correct subject folder. Can this be done via gpo? Thanks Guys, Superaz300

    Hello Arthur, Yes got the latest version of RM Application Wizard, really need this working for multimedia titles, this is the error I get, A database error had occurred, The CD ROM Database was not found, The database structure was not valid, Database information could not be read from the registory I dont understand why, however in another cc3 school, I had this error and installed this hotfix, but just carnt remeber which one and RM dont have it on their knowldge library so, But thanks for your help arthur, and guys please let me know if you remeber, thanks in advance Superaz300

    Hello Guys, Can anyone refresh there memory back to the CC3 days, when you get an error on the RM Application Wizard saying a database error has occurred, now I know there is a hotfix for this that works but I can not remeber which one, can anyone help me out please, were going CC4 soon but still with CC3.     Hi Guys, Can someone please give me somehelp on deploying smart notebook 10.8 on CC3. So far I have created a MSP file for the program, and got the smart educators 2011.msi, I have also created \\servername\RMPackages\Applications\SMART Notebook 10\v1.1.1.0\ and there is the msi file, the support folder and the MSP file, my problem is creating the ini file for telling rm application agent what to do, i RM Installation Assiasant.ini.     Good Morning All, I am having problems deploying office 2007 via group policy on windows server 2003 R2, I am having problems with the config.xml file, I have created a network installation point for it on the server like \\servername\office12 but I have found the msi and config.xml in the enterprise.ww. I have opened the confix.xml and having problems what to put, anyways entered the product key and saved it, logged onto the server, opened group policy and created a new installation point pointing to the office 2007 package, then it deploys on the machine but it doesnt use the config.xml file?? Can someone help me, or tell me what to do. Thanks, Superaz300

    Hi Guys, I seem to be having a problem on the server with the bootstrapper file, when I run the RM.Networks.BootstrapperCABCreation.exe, It returns with an error saying error no bootstrapper cab created, please review the log for more detail. Ive checked the log but it does not say anything about the problem, has anyone else had this problem before?? I need this because I cannot peform workstation builds at the moment, necause it needs the bootstrapper.cab file. Please Help, Cheers, Superaz300

    Hi Guys, Can anyone give me some advice for creating an msi package for interactive resources, ie, primary games vol 1 and 2, and teaching tables for a windows 2003 domain network. I really need to allocate these to 450 computers, does anyone have any msi I could use? Thanks Superaz300

    Hi all, Dont know if anyone can please help me, I am new to exchange 2010. I want my own mail server, which all I have bought is a domain name from 123-reg, and I have a control pannel where I can set dnd and name servers. I have installed windows server 2008 with microsoft exchange on one server, the server is a domain controller and dns, exchange. This is going to sound stupid, but what is a public ip address. All I have is a netgear dgn200 as a gateway, and on my netgear the dhcp is enabled, I have a static ip address for my internet from karoo, the servers lan card is set for 192.168.0.2 and the gateways ip is 192.168.0.1, for my exchange to be on the internet, how do I configure my server to my mx records on my 123-reg control panel?. Please help me guys, I have being trying to do this for 2 weeks now, Thanks Superaz300

    Hi, Right, in the event log, I get the error under security saying there was a fault with NTUsers/ what ever user it is, and then it fails about the rmc3iengine, I have not changed anything and rm dont know.

    HI Guys, In the event log I am getting the security error failure audit, and on the workstations, Teaching staff, students cannot logon, only system administrators can logon, if you logon to a workstation as a student user, it will not load and it appers as a security error in the event log with the students username, Please help, I have no idea why it is doing this, Thanks, Superaz300

    Hi Guys, I am running a CC3 Network, I have created a standard RM Standard Disk, got it on the floppy and then booted to floppy, So, I choose to rebuild the entire station, enter in the station details, then it says: Found network card: Intel pro/100 ve network adapter Testing the network connection.... File not found: a:\lmhosts Initializing TCP/IP via DHCP...... Microsoft DOS TCP/IP 1.0a NET0132: Unable to find file: C:\Net\lmhosts Connection Failed. Press any key to reboot the machine and try again As anyone else had this problem or know how to fix this, I am very greatful, Thanks, James

    Hi Everyone, Its working now! Its was all down to a RM Packages/tools corrupted folder on the server, I recopied the packages from a server backup, and then it reinsatlled some msiing packages, and worked! Thanks fgor all your help, everyone!, Regards, James

    Hi Guys, I think it may something to do with the server, ive looked at the RM packages that are installed on the server, ive reinstalled the rm server manager and on the workstation ive reinstalled the rm station manager, and stuff, but all it says for 2 seconds just before the logon provider comes on, in the rm application agent box it says "setting station security" somnething like that, its so fast you can not read it, please help, Thanks, James (SUPERAZ300)

    Hi Everyone, Thankyou for all your help but unfortantely that did not work, ive even reinstalled windows on the workstation and did the rebuild, but it did not still work, do you think it is anything to do with the server?     Hi there, don't know if you would be able to help me, but I am having the same problem what you had about RM application agent not checking or installing packages before the logon provider is displayed, if I want to install a package, I have to manually go to start/run, then type:installrm for it to update, but it won't update when the computer has started, I always have to do it manually, please may you mind sharing with me what you did to solve the problem as I do not have a RM support contract, may you please tell me how to solve this, or can you copy the soloution on RM's website: TEC1702556 That is the link tO the soloution, but on the forum you put that you solved it, please help me as I really would appreciate this.
