  1. Hello, In my experience with drivers like this and RM Networks, I would use RM Application Wizard to package up a driver for it. Depending on the OS of course that you are installing it on, but just build a clean Windows 7 x32 bit workstation, and make sure RM Application Wizard and Wininstall LE is installed, then you should be good to go. Thanks James
  2. As far as I was aware, CC4 redirects the Desktop folder to the My Settings folder, if you connect this laptop to the network and logon and logoff a few times with this user account, maybe it will update the profile with the server and the file might reappear?
  3. Thanks for these amazing replies guys, keep them coming. In actual fact I have designed a large shed as my server room which has Air Conditioning installed and is where the Cat 6 panel is. I'm not bothered about the noise as its outside. I might look at ICT DIRECT. Thanks
  4. Thanks for these fantastic replies, I will look into the Lenovo Davit2005, please keep them coming
  5. Hello Guys I am wanting to build a computer for VMware Esxi where I can get about 8 VMs on the one host, it's a home project to mess about with Active Directory, Citrix, Exchange and SCCM. I work in a school as an apprentice, I'm 17 but I've being working with servers from 9. I don't really have the money to buy a HP server or some kind so I was thinking of building this from scratch. My idea is to use Freenas for the storage as I have purchased 4 western digital Red 4 TB drives, and point it as an iSCSI target on Esxi. I have spent the last few weekend installing CAT 6 in my house, all going to a NETGEAR Managed Gigabit switch so speed shouldn't be a problem with the network. Any ideas for the sever hardware? Thanks James
  6. When was the server commissioned? They have only just released this about 2 weeks ago. If you give me the exact model numbers of the computers, I will get you the drivers for you ready to import into the RMMC. Thanks James
  7. When I say the Windows 10 Client Pack, you can download this from the My Account are a on RMS website, think it's called the Windows 10 Build Client. This is of course if your support contract for CC4 is still valid. In terms of the NIC drivers, what I'm saying is it will use the x32 driver to install the operating system with, and when the OS is installed it will install the x64 bit driver for use within the rest of the build client. Thanks James
  8. Right, what I have made mistakes with before is this. 1. If you have the Window 10 Client Pack, its a new Windows PE 10 image and I am sure it is x64 bit, but its best to get x32 and x64 bit NIC drivers and import them both into the RMMC. 2. Make sure the NIC driver shows up on the RM Default Build Disk 10 template, if not add it. 3. Regenerate the build disk, and add it with WDA. Boot it to from PXE, let it loads up the CC4 build client and you should have a Connected build session. Also, WSUS should pick up most of the drivers for Windows 10 and install them on there own, we noticed this with the Intel Nucs, all I needed to do was to import the NIC drivers, the rest of the drivers like Graphics, chipset etc was picked up by Windows updates at the end of the build session. If you still need some help, PM me and we can do a remote session? Hope this helps James
  9. Hello, If this is for a CC4 network, can you not just simply import the driver into the RM Management Console and then regenerate the build disks, if your stuck give me a shout as I am known as the CC4 Driver Man back at my work. Thanks James
  10. Thank you for these fantastic replies! As for disposal, we are now going to give Stone a call and sort that out. Achandler, thanks for the reply about the HP G5, I might take you up on that Thanks again James
  11. Hello Edugeeks I have being working in a school for about 4 months now, and we have a virtualised CC4 network. I really want to learn about VMware Esxi which I was wondering if anyone has any spare servers I can stick it on to play around with virtual switches, and VMs themselves. I am not bothered if they don't have hard drives which I completely understand for data protection, just the servers which support virtualisation. I know schools like ours have to pay for disposal of IT equipment, so was wondering if anyone has any they don't want? I am in Hull, so local better or don't mind travelling. Please, if this isn't in the right thread I do apologise. Thanks James
  12. Is this for use with KC? I have the Vigor 2830, and I get exactly the same speed. What I didn't know was you have to set the MTU for 1492. Hope this helps
  13. Hello All, I am wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I have just taken over at a school, and when tidying the server room, I came across a Trapeze Smart Mobile MX-216R Wireless controller with a box full of access points. I want to set this up, however I cannot find anywhere any software, or guides on doing this. Can someone provide me with a link, or some sort? Thanks James
  14. In the DB, their is no Scopes table under Site Manager, I though Comms installed this to be honest.
  15. Hello AXE, I have just PM you. Thanks

  17. Hi, Thank you for confirming, well to be honest I didn't want you to say that because I have that version and I am having allot of issues in terms on RM Comms and Security not installing. Thanks, James
  18. Hello Guys, Can somebody please tell me what version of Postgres should be running on a CC4.3 server (Windows Server 2008 R2) I think I may have the wrong version. Thanks for reading, James
  19. Hello, I am really stuck on configuring our network to be split, what I was trying to achieve was to have my network lab setup without interfering with the normal network I have setup, however I want to be able to use the same gateway for the internet. I will be playing with services such as DNS and DHCP on my server, and I don't want this to have a impact on my network. Is their any suggestions, and please can you brake it down as I am new to networking. Thanks Guys, Superaz300
  20. Thank John, I applied that, restarted all DNS and DHCP and now sites are resolving fine. Thank you so kind, James
  21. Hello John, Thanks for your reply, Should I set the forwarders on both servers or just the forest root domain controller? Also, do I need to delete the root hints, I am new to this but I was think of using google DNS, which is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, do I just set them as the forwarders and then things should resolve? James
  22. Hello Guys, I don't know if anyone can help me, but we have 2 DC's here which the First is Windows Server 2008 R2, and the second domain controller is Windows Server 2003 R2. Both have DNS installed however some sites take ages to resolve. I have no idea what to set the Root Hints or forwarders to, can you guys give me some idea? Also, on the first Domain Controller, IP Configuration: IP Address: 192.168.0.16 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1 Preferred DNS Server: 192.168.0.17 Alternate DNS Server: 127.0.0.1 On the second Domain Controller, IP Configuration: IP Address: 192.168.0.17 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1 Preferred DNS Server: 192.168.0.16 Alternate DNS Server: 127.0.0.1 Is this configuration ok? Its just some sites, for example Facebook, it takes ages to resolve I dont know why. Thanks Guys, James
  23. Hello Matt, thanks for the reply, could you please PM me as I would prefer to talk there, the backup is not restoring however I now have another problem, workstations are now not buildng, can you PM me and we can go from there, Thanks, Superaz300
  24. This is a screenshot of the error guys
  25. Good Afternoon, We are recently creating new programs ready for september, however for some strange reason when I create a program set in the RMMC, It says could not create the program set numeracy, error 42883, Function GroupResourceManager.ProgramSetSave(Text, integer, text, integer, integer) does not exist. Has anyone else got this error, I think this is something to do with the CC4 database as the program sets are stored in there, we have no RM Support Contract, so my only bet is you guys out there, does anyone else have that function and there database as it must be missing from ours. Please help guys, Thanks, Superaz300
