Hi, I have recently moved Exchange 2003 onto a new server using the following information "How to remove the first Exchange Server 2003 computer from the administrative group" and am experiencing some sync / send receive errors on completion. Error from the client "0x08004010F" Object could not be found. Error from server when trying to rebuild the OAL "OALGen encountered error [0x80040107] while calculating the OALs". Basically the OAL is missing and cannot rebuild itself. I have tried various things such as creating a new OAL and re-naming it something different and setting it as default. But Event Viewer shows the server error above at schedule update time. I can stop the clients from downloading the OAL through Send/Receive Settings, but I would much prefer a fix as i'm sure there would be reprocussions from doing this. Has anyone had a smiliar error and have any advice or suggestions for me? Thanks, Pete

We will soon have a ton of laptops returned to us from being loaned out. They will need rebuilding and we would like to use our SCCM and one of our Task Sequences. The issue being the laptops don't have network ports. I don't believe a ethernet adapter will work. I have tried using the bootable media options in SCCM but this fails when it tries to run with partitioning error. Is this doable, and if so how? Cheers for any help.

Hi Guys, I am running a CC3 Network, I have created a standard RM Standard Disk, got it on the floppy and then booted to floppy, So, I choose to rebuild the entire station, enter in the station details, then it says: Found network card: Intel pro/100 ve network adapter Testing the network connection.... File not found: a:\lmhosts Initializing TCP/IP via DHCP...... Microsoft DOS TCP/IP 1.0a NET0132: Unable to find file: C:\Net\lmhosts Connection Failed. Press any key to reboot the machine and try again As anyone else had this problem or know how to fix this, I am very greatful, Thanks, James

Hi All just started working at a school and my first problem is understanding Rm CC3 network, I have experience with Vanilla systems but this site has cc3 but to make it harder, they came out of contract with RM 2 1/2 years ago!!. the list of issues seems to be endless. but my immediate problem is to understand how they do Rebuilds, specifically if i wish to rebuild a couple of PC's and introduce some newly purchased Laptops & customise the builds (adding a new NIC driver as an example). As a newbie you can imagine ..i thought i could just make an image of a working PC and sysprep it and Bobs your uncle!! I'm just getting to grips with creating a build disk from a USB flash that is recognisable but would hope that someone has a procedure for this as RM will not speak to me as there is no current contract. I need to solve this until the new server arrives . Does the build add the workstation to the domain ? Is there also any thing on migrating from cc3 or is it just a rebuild of all workstations and laptops. (back to friendly tools like Acronis ) Andrew;)

Hi all I have a server that is failing, resulting in one hard drive being replaced last week. It then BSOD three times at the end of last week. Subsequently I need to rebuild Windows and would like to move everything to four brand new disks. I am having loads of trouble backing up due to the size - approx 1TB. My cloud backup seems to be faltering/taking forever, so I have tried manual backups etc, which are working somewhat but fail with long filepaths etc on some files. So two questions: 1)does anyone have any advice on being able to load the four hard drives into something and be able to copy the data across onto new Windows install? 2)Additionally does anyone know if I replace all four hard drives and build a new RAID whether I can reinsert the original four hard drives to perform manual backups at a later date if required? ie if something is not backed up somewhere and I build a new Windows system and someone reports that something is missing if I can then power down, reinsert the old hard drives and manually copy the data onto a portable drive then switch back to new, power up and copy the data onto new hard drives?? Any help with this headache greatly appreciated. Happy half-term!

We've inherited a CSE Network and want to remove the CSE Shell/Client and run it as a normal Windows Domain without CSE... Does anyone know how to remove CSE without rebuilding the servers and all of the clients? Any advice would be much appreciated? :-D Ant

Hello, So I'm wanting to rebuild the domain controller at my workplace (if my boss allows it) however is it particularly hard? I've done the whole setting up a DC from scratch, but obviously this involves migration of users, group policies etc. How hard can it be? Let me know your thoughts/advice! Thanks.
