  1. Thanks for getting back to me about it :-D My knowledge of CSE is totally minimal, I don't even understand how it's installed? I assume there is a central management console installed on one of the Domain Controllers that the Client side of things connects to for settings/policies etc? We're basically two schools merging to become one, on our site we have a normal Windows Domain managed by us but the site we're taking over use's CSE which none of us have a clue about - only that from logging on a couple of times to the CSE network, it's awful, layout, design and usability is just shocking! Thanks again for getting back to me, it's very much appreciated!
  2. We've inherited a CSE Network and want to remove the CSE Shell/Client and run it as a normal Windows Domain without CSE... Does anyone know how to remove CSE without rebuilding the servers and all of the clients? Any advice would be much appreciated? :-D Ant
  3. Yes, we're going to allow kids a reasonably unrestricted Internet access at certain points in the day, Facebook, Myspace, games, etc. It's for one room in school only and will be controlled to a certain degree but the majority of the internet will be unrestricted. We currently have one proxy server and one filter from the LA, our proxy server is running RedHat, Linux. We're intending to install a second proxy server that will use a seperate, unrestricted filter from the LA that will allow Facebook, Myspace, Youtube, and pretty much anything else other than the obvious block lists. But the room will be used for lessons at certain times of the day so we need the allow/deny lists to change at certain periods of time.
  4. This is my first post here :-) Basically we're having a room that kids can use for going on what they want, games, facebook, etc... but we only have one proxy server. We're getting an unfiltered internet connection hopefully from the LA and were hoping to install a second proxy server, but, we only want the internet to be unrestricted at certain times. Has anyone got any information that could be of help? We haven't got a clue when it comes to timing two lists to effectively swap over at certain times of the day... Ant
