Yes, we're going to allow kids a reasonably unrestricted Internet access at certain points in the day, Facebook, Myspace, games, etc.
It's for one room in school only and will be controlled to a certain degree but the majority of the internet will be unrestricted.
We currently have one proxy server and one filter from the LA, our proxy server is running RedHat, Linux. We're intending to install a second proxy server that will use a seperate, unrestricted filter from the LA that will allow Facebook, Myspace, Youtube, and pretty much anything else other than the obvious block lists. But the room will be used for lessons at certain times of the day so we need the allow/deny lists to change at certain periods of time.
