  1. I'd lay money on switched user scenario and a running browser/app repeatedly attempting to sign in with an old set of credentials and locking it out.
  2. I hadn't got round to replying, but yes, you should be able to slip that transport rule in before anything that notifies.
  3. Observium seems almost too good to be true... Going to give it a try.
  4. For me it's 'Does this device come with an SCCM driver pack for the OS I'm installing?' if it doesn't, I won't buy it. Ain't nobody got time to be scrabbling around the internet looking for drivers. As for the original question - HP Spectre x360 2019 refurbs is what we've been buying SLT and middle leaders. Teachers have been getting refurb 2019 HP Probooks with whatever spec we can get at the time. My other site have gone for leasing direct with Dell and I have no control over what model they get, it just has to be an i5 with 8gb ram and a 256gb nvme ready for Windows 11.
  5. I think the threshold of an issue needs to be much lower to trip an update to the status page. Maybe even just acknowledge that there *might* be an issue, status of 'investigating' or something like that. Honestly, it just needs to be acknowledged to give us something to tell the office staff and SLT.
  6. We use OSTicket trust wide and it has all the features we need, and none we don't.
  7. Set SCL to bypass junk: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/security-and-compliance/mail-flow-rules/use-rules-to-set-scl
  8. Yes... Also attendance officer here and also up to a minute to load a student details page.
  9. I'm not sure it is... My admin lady is currently still experiencing very slow page loading and periodic 'page unresponsive' from Chrome.
  10. I have an admin lady on the verge of tears trying to get data entered for census...
  11. Happy using PRM Greentech. Very professional and accommodating service.
  12. Cleaners just use hard surface cleaner on a cloth on all of them every night. ICT suite is wiped down by a TA between lessons.
  13. Are you specifying the English UK language pack in your MST? If you are, humour me and make an MST that doesn't specify the English UK language pack and see if it installs.

    DFE iPads

Of course, but they are large resellers. It may be useful to someone.

    DFE iPads

That was our problem. The reseller number we were given by the DfE was nonsense, didn't resolve to an actual reseller and as such they never appeared. Just in case it helps someone else I have copy-pasta'd this from another edugeek post, these are the most commonly used resellers by the DfE: Computacentre number (892F050) XMA number (354BF80)
  16. If you have the right integration services installed and the right options in settings, then the host going to sleep would pause or shut down the VM so it doesn't bork on restart.

    DFE iPads

Ours never showed, we had to supervise them in Configurator and then transfer them
  18. Have you installed the hyper V integration services which would have suspended or shut down the VM before the host slept - assuming that you had set that as an option. Making a VSwitch is just part of the setup process, without being rude it really sounds like you might need to read the documentation a bit more before starting. I have had nothing but good experiences with Hyper V.
  19. How are you connecting to it? Is it possibly a SAN network card driver issue?
  20. Humour me and change edition to w10 home. I bet the baked in device license is 10 home and the education version is the one that has been intuned onto it by the DFE.
  21. Is the copy of 2016 patched up to date: Version 16.0.4600.1000 of Office 2016 (with the November 2017 Update, KB 4051890) or earlier will no longer connect to M365 services.
  22. My other site has 3 of these plus wheels. Again, really useful!
  23. 22" or larger, 1680x1050 or better is our minimum spec. We use a minimum of 2 screens in matched pairs for all admin staff. Some have 3 screens, one has 4 screens - one in portrait, but she has bought the graphics card and 4th monitor herself. Anyone who gets multiple monitors gets a quick chat about using the snap/resize features.
  24. I've only been using the MS documentation, which whilst it is like wading through treacle to find the relevant information once you find it, is comprehensive. The only features I've found that I might want to upgrade for is to enable the use of an OAuth token rather than the FIDO/App for MFA due to the issues with staff getting mobiles out in class to log on and to enhance the Azure drill-down/reporting features. The Intune thing is confusing - I'm pretty sure it is *not* included, I can't find an admin centre for it, but that there is a very limited mobile device management that allows certain things like enforcing a passcode and remote wipe.
  25. We're still using the A1 and it's been pretty good for us. The thing I would always recomend, if you haven't, is lowering the spam level to something much more restrictive and then enabling the quarantine digest email as that seems to catch everything very nasty and most phishing.
