I used to have to restart the VSS service regularly to keep Veam happy - I made a scheduled task to do it each day at a convenient time. Edit, I still have to do it with my current n-able backup, but it's roughly once a month now, rather than daily!

I've spoken to our purse strings and there is money in the budget for next year for it. Windows 11 is not on Student devices yet, only Admin, SLT & Teacher take-home devices, so we've made the decision not to push any further 11 upgrades (we were going to start Suites at Xmas) until we've got a working, supported, safeguarding install.

Secondly, yes, I know it's stupid, but we don't have direct support with Impero for it, it was deemed too expensive to renew when we knew we were going to get something different during the equipment refresh. I'm trying to install 8432 on a windows 11 PC but it throws up the old chestnut about insufficient privileges to start the services. I've dism enabled netFX, but it hasn't made any difference. I have 2 questions, one may answer the other... Is 8432 actually compatible with Windows 11? How do I fix the issue if it is?

Your 2k packs will be built of metal, have specifically tailored battery packs, will accept a wide range of mic elements, will come with professional warranty which isn't going to quibble over a scratch or two, the receivers will have better features like auto anti-interference channel changes, pilot tones, battery monitoring, may be on licensable frequencies, will have the facility to use external antenna arrays, will be rack mountable... They're just... Better. Your £120 ones may not even be on currently legal UK frequencies, will break the first time they're dropped will be useless the first time the cable gets yanked as it's soldered in not on a locking plug, can be interefered with by everything from mobile phones to people's RF car keys... And then there is always something in the middle. Personally I've always gone with Trantec for budget radios or Sennheiser for middle and higher quality radios. Some people swear by Shure, but I'm not convinced.

We just go micropore or transpore - micropore seems to be more hypoallergenic. Micropore also takes makeup better for hiding it, but is slightly less sticky and sweat resistant as a result.

How do I add Android Devices to 'company owned devices' in Gsuite? I can get them under management by adding the signed in user to a group that dictates management, but the devices show up as user owned. The docs are unclear on this to the point that I'm not even sure it's possible. Some seem to suggest that it should automatically show up if the user chooses 'use for work only' during setup, some say it has to be added by the reseller chromebook style, and some say nothing. Anyone got a clue? This is my first time managing a moderate number of devices in GSuite as my other schools use Meraki or Apple School Manager and I haven't got a clue!
