  1. Thanks - The switch port is fine as is the same that are previous firewall used and we have changed the NIC on the device itself but still does it. Unfortunately nothing seems apparent and its with Smoothwall 2nd Line now so hopefully they come up with something or send a replacement unit.
  2. This is on an S9 dedciated device so not sure I can to the log partition but will check it out. - - - Updated - - - Thanks - Half the time you can powershell it with a restart-netadapter and for some reason it sorts their internet out.
  3. We have had a new Smoothwall S9 installed last Friday and since switching to smoothwall, clients web access is being dropped randomly across the day. The NIC is fine and internal servers / services function. Resetting the NIC in most cases with an ipconfig /release / renew appears to then permit traffic out through the Smoothwall. Before this 0 bytes of traffic are transferred to standard sites like bbc.co.uk / office.com and so on so its not a block issue. All they get is time outs / unable to access / blank white pages. It is driving everyone nuts so if anyone has any inisight on to possible causes that would be appreciated as Smoothwall support is not being overly helpful and our account manager is nowhere to be seen. Thanks in advance. Chris
  4. Have to agree with Localzuk as we have Ruckus with the ZD 3000 controller and a bunch of access points. Looks after itself and sorts our BYOD with 802.1x along with an auto configured hot spot for Guest access and a separate setup for own IT equipment and Apple stuff as it can bridge the Apple Bonjour services for our classrooms as well. Impressed with the zero agro and the support from Net-Ctrl is great with it.
