  1. It might be worth giving the account a test with this. https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/
  2. Sorry, vague OP has spawned vague response. I think you have make sure apply permissions from parent objects is ticked in AD.
  3. We've had a few musteks, they're pretty nasty but if you want to spend less then a grand they're probably the only option.
  4. I'm a bit fan of WPKG, it's a bit fiddly but also very flexibal. We use it for virtualy all our software installs. One big advantage is you can configure it to do installations on shutdown instead of startup. This is a real killer for us, increasing a computer's startup time by more then a minute is really a no no, shutdown isn't such an issue. So of the bigger packages (I'm looking at you CS4) we try to do in the holidays (still using WPKG), because they do take a long time.
  5. We just use a normal laser, I think your person is getting confused, you need dot matrix for anthing that uses carbon paper so it's popular for invoices and pay slips. Make sure they know if they have a dot matrix printer they've got to put up with the noise they make.
  6. Just get some massive y-fronts and go as Brad.
  7. We've had this with Stone computers, replacment part was about £10. If you don't need access to USB ports these might be worth a look. USB Port Blocker - Pack of 4, Colour Code: Blue | USB Light, Fan & Security Locks | USB & FireWire | LINDY UK
  8. The trouble is unless they can massively increase production SSD prices will probably go up.
  9. This site it very handy for working out throws, Sanyo PLC-XW56 Projection Calculator - Throw Distance and Screen Size You probably won't be able to find another projector with the screw holes in exactly the same place. The easiest solution will be to replace the existing bracket with a spider bracket.
  10. The level of variation in cat inteligence is quite stagering. We had one cat who when it rained would come in the back door, she'd then expect to be let out the front door, when the door was open she'd always be shocked to discover that it was raining outside the front door as well. We had two cats who could open the fridge, but one of them knew if he never got caught the other cat would get the rollocking. He was one smart kitty.
  11. No he meant their profiles, A Guide to Profiles - Wiki
  12. You read my mind, where did I leave my car keys?
  13. Very true, Dogs have a master, cats have staff.
  14. Does your school have a laser cutter? You can use them to etch plastic or metal.
  15. It's probably to do with the default saving location, it'll be trying to save somewhere the staff don't have access to (maybe the root of c:).
  16. Is the opticle drive ok? Try running the install of a USB drive and see how it goes.
  17. It's a throwback from the days when the Admin network was run by the Bursur or Office manager and the Curriculum network was ran by a slightly odd Physics teacher. Neither knew what they were doing, neither trusted the other.
  18. How are you implementing the shortcuts? If you're using Group Policy Preferences you could could use item level targetting.
  19. Senior Leadership. When you go to leadership make sure you've worked out costings to show how much more she's costing the school then if she'd gone through the proper channels.
  20. I know is sounds odd, but do the interior lights work correctly? Some diesels start the glow plugs when you unlock the car or open the door. Are you waiting for the glow plug light to go out before you start the car? Also does it have an external temperature gauge? Is this giving accurate information? The temperature sensor will also give data to the car's engine management unit. What sort of car is it, and how old.
  21. Oddly enough there's quite a few pubs that serve Uley round here, must be something to do with being about 5 miles from the brewery
  22. Have you tried Doom Bar?
  23. You idiot.
  24. A promising start. I'm either an Ale or a Cider drinker. Luckily my local have lots of local and guest beers as well as three good ciders. Stroud Budding is my go to pint, this weekend also had a few Adnams American IPAs, very nice. Cider wise Adlestons cloudy is lovely, but can lead to crazy occurring so I tend to stick to Aspell's.
  25. Very good explanation, are there any resources you can recommend for learning more about sound engineering.
