In the meantime get a bicycle, you're only two miles from the station.

In the short term you should be looking for any work. Being unemployed will look worse on your CV then being under employed. Depending on where you work you might even be about to use it as a way to get your foot in the door or make good contacts. EDIT: And it'll mean you have money for driving lessons.

Looks like there's a future for Woofus even if wireless is banned in schools. -
I've know a lot about it, but I think there's a system called Sonos and another called Squeezbox which do this. EDIT:

What Format do you use for Staff/Pupils user account
K.C.Leblanc replied to bicky's topic in Network and Classroom Management
Start Year Surname First Initial So for excample 11SmithJ, we normaly get a couple of duplications so we have to add a middle initial. Staff are just surname, first initial. -
Especialy when they're losing a days pay.

I'm going to spend all day kicking union members off the terminal server. No not really, going to be fiddling with our aruba.

Have you used that product yourself? I know a school who use it and have had issues. You could create some of your own system variables and then a GPO or script to set them according that the architecture in use.

Motorised projector screen with network control?
K.C.Leblanc replied to nLinked's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
Our Hall screen is controlled via an AMX panel. I think they offer a network interface. However it won't be a cheap solution. -
It might well be worth having a dig round UK Business Forums - the UK's most active help and advice forum for owners, managers and entrepreneurs of small businesses and startups. But the impression I get is that a lot of franchises are pretty rotten. You could potentialy end up with less freedom, working longer hours, more responsibily and earning less then being employed. Oh and you'll probably have a large wedge invested just to top it off.

Try running msiexec -i "\\yourserver\yourshare\yourfolder\GoogleSketchUp8.msi" /qn EDIT: For some reason the forum is adding a space between GoogleSketchUp8 and .msi, you need to remove this.

Sounds more like a chat room then a forum. Back in the day a lot of ISPs ran IRC servers, there's probably a more modern way now.

Project Scenery onto a stage
K.C.Leblanc replied to ellisteph10's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
I've done something similar with 3 projector and 3 separate laptops all using Arkaos. It was a complete nighmare because I didn't have enough hands to change all the screens at once. -
Generaly when I've had this I've reimaged the machine. But first double check they're running Service Pack 3.

Yep, I've found you sometimes need to disable HA on a cluster and then reenable it to get it to behave.

I'm not sure about version 8, but some of the older version you can just unzip the exe with 7zip and low and behold there's an MSI in there.

It might be worth putting it on Pistonheads. -
Yes, but since it would mean the complete destruction of Swindon I'd consider it to be a noble death.

Same here, although our version dates from when it was called My Little Helpdesk.
