They are. For me it is only video recorded on the ipad that will not mirror. Everything else will including the likes of iplayer etc. the videos recorded on the ipad do playback via iMovie though :s

Using a third party mdm solution like light speed, maas360 or meraki compared to running an Apple server with Apple Configurator and profile manager on? What do you use? What do you use it for? Does anyone know what happens to volume purchases made already? Would they stay like they are currently or be changed? If I did make a purchase shall I make sure that all purchases are installed with our volume account?

Can student then open a file from their home directory edit it and save it back? So mac osx server profile manager supports silently installing apps with no involvement the other end? Cheers

Hi I have been looking through the forums to try find an answer to the following two questions. 1. Can you manage iPads via OSX server wirelessly e.g. Meaning i don't have to keep bringing them up to the office? Can i deploy apps wirelessly. E.g. Teacher wants an app on an ipad i login and allocate the app and it is installed on the ipads without the need for entering a password or any involvement ipad side? 2. Would a third party mdm be better? 3. The dreaded file storage issue. What options are there for student use? Is there anything that would allow them to access their own my documents? How are schools that have deployed a lot of ipads (not 1:1) managing files with the devices being used by multiple students. Options i can think of are below: Dropbox - Individual studnet accounts or a 100GB centralised account? Skydrive? Anyone been updated to the new office 365? Tried skydrive Pro on it? wiht the skydrive app. Any way to get them to use an app to access network shares? I have tried file browser but they can move back up the file structure which i don't want them to do. Any ideas over the file storage or advice over MDM's would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi We have had our renewal for our yearly EES agreement and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good supplier for it at the best price? We currently purchase from RM but with budgets tightening i want to make sure we get the best value for money. Has anyone switched supplier for EES before at the end of a year? On the student computers in the room have you only got the RM tutor 5 client and not the teacher or tech console version? We found that if you have more than one version of tutor on a machine then it stops working and you then have to uninstall all tutor 5 software on that machine, restart it and then reassign the client.

Hi We are currently trialing a windows 8 tablet from lenovo with windows 8 pro. We have configured the proxy as normal in IE settings. But this is not picked up by the metro apps. Is there a way we can set them to use a proxy? I have tried changing it in GP under computer configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > Network Isolation > Internet proxy server for apps but no luck. Anyone had any experience of this? Our proxy is controlled by the LEA so we don't really have much control over it. It doesn't use authentication just needs the proxy and port. Cheers

Hi We currently run a moodle 1.9 installation at a largish secondary school. It runs on its own server and has done for the last 4 years. We are now looking at timing a hardware refresh and upgrading to moodle 2.4 at the same time. My question is what type spec server would I need to be looking at? Total users: 3000 (students, parents, staff) Concurrent: 150-200 Any help would be great thanks.

Hi Anyone that has iPads in their school currently for staff use. How do you run it? What do you use to manage them? Do you allow staff to use their personal account? Or a school account? or both? Do you give staff the password for the school account (if used)? Does anyone have a policy for staff ipads that they would care to share? Thanks
