Hi All, Can someone help me out here, I have Just installed out DC and Sims server as VMs on Hyper V and they seem to be working fine, I am now looking at Veeam to Backup the host and 2 VMs and have downloaded their software for the community edition. Do I install the the software on my Host system and run it all from there and then install our file backup solution on the VMs to backup the files? Thanks

I thought it was ISDN, but in a conversation yesterday with the sales rep from the current provider I thought he said SIP( i will check) but he said we would need upgrade from NEC SL1100 to the NEC SL2100 and they would utilize some of our bandwidth from our broadband or provide a router and the extra phones we want.

We set up KS1, KS2, ect group emails the teachers in each group all have access to those emails just for this sort of thing. We didn't worry about teachers switching accounts as they do it anyway. Had no complaints

Morning All, Our Head Teacher wants to put a portable phone in all the classrooms and some other areas that only have internal access. Our current system is an NEC SL1100 we have 3 external Lines and 10 Terminals 5 of which have external access and the other 5 only have internal access. We want to increase the number of internal access terminals using portable handsets by 17. We have been advised by our current supplier to upgrade our system at quite a cost and was wondering if anyone on Edugeek has had to change their system. Thanks

I was one of them 2 years ago. We said we wouldn't go back because of that reason, although maybe October time would be better, but we felt that Skye is just too busy in May (summer) compared to the likes of Oban and the isles. Although we didn't stay on Skye we stayed on the Kyle of Lochalsh in May and only went on Skye about 3 times in the week we were up there because it was so busy. I suppose the Skye bridge just makes it convenient to get to which just opened up the Island and takes away the remoteness that some crave for. Nice photos though.

I get them to use firstnamelastname no spaces if it's a double barrel name it would be firstnlastname they get on with it and the staff accept it, used to use cohorts but the younger staff prefer to have their names in full helps with spelling their name right as well and i haven't been asked to change one in the many years i have been using this method. Granted some names are ridiculously long but hey i didn't name them did I.

We don't use exchange were a gsuite school but the LA want her to use Teams. So I had to set it up from scratch. Only really interested in using teams for online meetings with the LA HR and Finance. All new to me.

Hi All, Can anyone tell me how I enable the calendar app on the pinned apps in Teams, it's on for me as Admin but not for the Head Teacher, I have set the Teacher Policy for the Head but still does not show up. Zoom has now been banned by our LA now even though i had it blocked a while back. We use Meet its free to use with GSuite. Why pay for something when you have something already that is free.
