Even if it's the same provider it's over a public network. The internal boundary ends at the router.

Hello, I am retiring an on premise exchange environment. Public folders are still used for sharing contacts and groups. I was wondering if anyone can suggest alternatives please? Maybe something in Teams? I have considered using the Global Address List but would also like to explore other options. Thanks.

Which UniFi access point should I get? Also layout question.

I would be careful. I inherited a school when I worked in the MAT. It had issues with the WIFI and had an AP in each classroom. I removed many so that 2 classrooms shared an AP and it resolved their issues. -
Maybe use another MFA provider then?

Use conditional rules so that MFA isn’t required on the premises. The big risk is people outside on the internet getting in their accounts. It’s those areas that you can require MFA without impacting lessons inside the school.

I would be curious to hear your argument. I think it’s 100% necessary.

I am just finishing Better Call Saul. I had watched them all until the new season came out. I decided to go through them again and glad I did. What a great show. Very well written.

Do you have the IPv6 box ticked on your DC NIC?
FN-GM replied to TwistedHelixis's topic in How do you do....it?
It should be left on even if you’re not using it. I have had issues in the past. WSUS was an example. -
UK Braces for Blackouts, Gas Cuts in January in Emergency Plan

I’m not sure we are on the same page. A BCP isn’t an IT specific document. It would have been written by the SLT to cover a multitude of possible issues - not specially IT related. The BCP would influence decisions made across multiple departments across the school. For example - what would happen in regards to the school lunch if there is a power failure. The DR plan would be a seperate document but linked to the BCP. As your new your school might have a BCP but you might not know. -

Im actually quite shocked you don't have one. It's a basic document key to the running of any sizable organisation. Every school I worked at had one. It covered events such as disasters like fire as well as more minor events like power outages. -
I was going to suggest scheduled task myself. That’s how I would tackle it.

I wouldn’t jump to rebuilding the whole domain. There might not be anything wrong with it. If it’s been setup and left all these years it might mean nobody has been in tinkering. I would seriously considering working on this to upgrade. Windows Server 2000 was end of life in 2010. So maybe an intermediate could be Server 2008 R2. Although I am not sure this is even necessary. You can migrate shares with Robocopy. For DHCP with such a small network I could recreate the scope.

Strange Behaviour - Insufficient system resources?

I doubt it will work then. I can’t run other installers and executables. -
It’s ok - needs some work. Recovery Time Objectives for example.

We don’t have any local storage. If there was a storage issue wouldn’t we see it on more virtual machines? We have hundreds. It would be very apparent.
