Interesting thing Wife's son is a manager in the theatres at the local hospital - very well respected - just got significant promotion - fully qualified clinical person kinda busy for the last few months - as you can imagine his partner is currently pregnant - but only for a few more months and their 2 kids have recently gone back to school anyway - he comes home from work last week and she is coughing, sense of smell is reduced and everything tastes of cardboard so he rings up and books her a test and informs work he can’t come in until the test comes back - because of the obvious so she goes in for the test person booking people in asks why she think she needs a test errr - pregnant - partner of critical worker in ICU and theatres AT THAT HOSPITAL and with mild symptoms NAH - not serious enough and who is he anyway and why does he think he is important enough to just book a test for his partner REALLY who in the name of $deity do you think is looking after the people who are going to be turning up with Covid-19 in a week or so????? and do you REALLY think it is a good idea to have them expos all the current ICU and Theatre patients to the virus tomorrow ???? so he demanded the name and rang up to check that was OK apparently she got the test and it was clear just little one sharing his cold with Mummy stiil - nice that he is learning to share

Apparently our glorious leader (other terms are available) is going to address the nation tomorrow at 8 p.m. Oh good still - mean the 'local lockdown' round here will now be shared with everyone still waiting to see how they will make people actually stick to the rules

OK - sorry if it appeared that way I was not suggesting that people who go to the pub are the problem but that the people who do not wear masks in shops - without good reason, so not including people with proper reasons such as health etc. - and also go to the pub and do not respect the rules - are probably the ones that will be complaining the most i.e. a lot of them are the ones that think the virus is a hoax, or don't care because they think they are OK and don't care about anyone else I do agree that people will simply start drinking earlier - and will probably then go home in large groups to carry on at home but that is another problem

Simple things can work - at my last place they had hifi type amps for the classroom sound systems - allowed different inputs so they could switch from PC to CD etc etc (yes - I know but....) one of my main problems was people saying the sound doesn't work - turns out the input selector was turned to the wrong input solution was to put a line of tippex where the pointer should be - with another on the knob - they just had to line them up a shared folder showing how to fix common problems was totally ignored - in spite of it being a request from actual teachers Actually had a better response from TAs who would listen to explanations and read guides teachers - not so much!!!

Well - as expected we (i.e. people who live near here) are going back into partial lockdown from Tuesday and - I would think - the people moaning most about the pubs closing at 10 and not being allowed to visit their gran - are going to be the numpties I saw in The Asda the other day who didn't wear a mask and I wonder how many calls the Police will get saying that $personthecallerdoesn'tlike has too many people in their house

FAKE NEWS we ALL KNOW that all the navigators have been in on the conspiracy for centuries They just hold the things up and pretend to take readings - then get the correct position from a GPS it just looks harder if you pretend to use a fancy pants device and say you have to look things up and do calculations so they keep up the pretence to keep looking like they do a complex job - rather than just reading what the GPS says there you go that should stop THAT question being asked again
