    I'm off

Good luck for the future What are you moving on to? Still IT?
  2. Interestingly, I am now getting warnings in the 365 console that it hasn't synced with AD for over 24 hours, yet I can run a sync and everything appears to be successful (changes in AD are reflected in cloud). edit: Ah scheduled syncs are not running, I have the 01/01/0001 thing too :S
  3. This should help: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/documentation/articles/active-directory-aadconnect-dirsync-upgrade-get-started/ Edit: I assumed you meant the old DirSync, if you mean an old version of AD Connect then yes I just ran the installer and it upgraded.
  4. No worries. Here is an installation guide: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/evaluation/backup/vsphere/en/em_setup.html Its really does make veeam easier to manager
  5. Are you doing via the UI on the server or the Enterprise Manager via a browser? Doing it via the browser is dead easy. edit: that assumes you have Enterprise version. edit 2: Not sure, Standard might have the web based management after all (I'll stop editing now!).
  6. Well according to the comparision chart it is 'partially supported':http://veeampdf.s3.amazonaws.com/datasheet/veeam_backup_9_0_free_vs_paid_comparison_en.pdf?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAJI4MX44AEVG3NBLA&Expires=1456330876&Signature=I9QJiATmauYAuyO8i0SN9o6Ex%2FE%3D Not sure what that means though without further investigation.
  7. Yep it does file level recovery
  8. Recover it?
  9. Seems that people really need to update to this. Password sync broke for us after this was released and only fixed by updating. Also worth nothing that the scheduled task for syncing is deleted and manual syncs now need to be done via PS Delta sync: Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta Full sync Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Initial
  10. But builds only supported for so long. Unless you upgrade to the latest build within 12 months you lose access to security updates.
  11. You can move to another supplier to administer your agreement (we did this to move to @Millgate) but not so sure that you can alter the price mid term. I can highly recommend talking to Kate at Millgate, she's a licencing legend.
  12. That's why we have Inventry Anywhere on our phones (there's an iOS app or a mobile website for Android or Windows mobile users).
  13. Just out of interest, why have you decided to use WU rather than pushing it from the sever, works much better that way.
  14. If I remember correctly, there was talk of the Education version having it's own api hooks for future educational focused features/apps. It would be inconvenient to deploy Enterprise to find that you need to change to Education at a later date. Makes sense to deploy Education to me.
  15. Has something changed? Not long ago it appeared to be clear that we weren't eligible to use Enterprise and eligible for Education only.
  16. Veeam backs up servers to NAS in a second building which replicates to a second NAS in a third building. So D2D2D. If we lost three buildings to a disaster then we would have bigger things to worry about :s
  17. Hmm, we use SCCM and there isn't an 'upgrades' option. Need to do some looking into that. Edit: Ah we are not running the required version for wsus for handling upgrades.
  18. @Michael off the top of your head, do you know if new builds will come down via wsus? If so that's something to block :S
  19. Wait what!? You *need* to tell me how to get this setup!
  20. Great, but how do you strip out the preinstalled apps
  21. We use Inventry as our signing in system, it can produce timesheets which we use for those staff that need them. Teachers sign in and out as well with no fuss. Isn't it just good practice to know who is on/off site in case of emergencies (fires etc).
  22. Yes! The ES‑48‑750W, with the money we saved from not buying our usual HP switches we bought a second so we could upgrade a fibre link from 1Gb to 10Gb. We also wanted the PoE so we could remove loads of PoE injectors from the cabs
  23. Yeah, us! Sitting on my desk now Comparing specs to other more established brands, we just had to go for the Ubiquiti Edge. Should be installing them on Monday so I'll let you know how we go.
  24. My three year old said her tea was too hot and asked me to "warm is down a bit" which I really liked
