That's how I do it, using GPPs. There is no noticeable impact on login times, I have verbose logon messages enabled and you don't even see the GPO being applied!

Hmm, we have a redundant controller, wasn't that much, guess you might be talking to the wrong people?

Has there been any indication if this will go forward before the brexit vote? I ask as there is a strong feeling that Cameron (and perhaps Osborne) will only survive with a strong remain vote. Any successor could make a quick win by dumping an unpopular policy.

Ok odd one, I'll describe as best as I can. Trying to reply to thread and the app slowed right down, eg waiting for a few seconds per button press for text to appear. Noticed that the thread list on the left was flicking rapidly back and forwards between two different forums. Also the text entry box wouldn't scroll down, eg I was typing and the text went off the bottom of the box and I couldn't see it or scroll down to it. Had to force quit. Restarted app and couldn't recreate it but thought I'd better report it.

Primary with 600 pupils and about 100 staff. HP ProLiant ML350 Gen9 x1 Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2620 v3 @ 2.40GHz 32GB RAM x2 300GB HDD for OS and VMs (RAID 1) x4 1.2TB HDD for Storage (RAID 6) This runs the following VMs DC 1 - PDC, DHCP (primary), DNS DC 2 - DHCP (secondary), DNS, printers, KMS File server Direct Access server I would always run with x2 DC so you know its replicated somewhere. Unfortunately our second server (HP ML 350 Gen5) died last week which could do with replacing to add the extra redundancy back in). Edit: Virtualise!

As above I install as little as possible on servers (and Java on as little a possible in general!)

Mmm I agree. Then you can upgrade with no disruption to the end user which is what we want isn't it?
