Hi all, I have the above motherboard, having some fun with it thats for sure. On board it has 2x SATA 6 ports (Grey) and 4x SATA 3 ports (Blue). ALL the SATA 3 ports seem to be dead. I have tried changing SATA cables to no avail. The 2x SATA 6 ports work perfect. I have tried the Controller settings in the BIOS on IDE, AHCI and on RAID and the list of devices in the connected list stay as "Not Detected" on those Sata 3 ports. Apparently, this board suffered the Cougar point bug, but this is the Revision B3 board which shouldnt be affected as it was the replacement board. Any Ideas ? Anyone had this board ? Thought about shoving a RAID card in there with 2 ports on.... would that work ? Thanks in advance all.

Anything Panasonic is usually pretty good. something like the Vierra range. LG also seem like a good candidate these days.

Reporting is good in Pf, if your only running squid - you could run it in a VM.

Untangle is great for a UTM type device, PfSense is all out security, filtering, firewall, router.

If you have an ethernet connection from your fiber to your router from an ONT then chances are you will be using PPPoE which you will need credentials for... typically your BT login details. Could be wrong... not seen how they deploy there fiber. Also BT may of locked your Home Hubs MAC address into there system for your connection, hooking up another router may not work as the MAC will be different.

Are you using Google Chrome and have you cleared Browser Cache ?
