Is it possible to confirm this? We've had the UAG letter recently and can't see how Schools with external ISP's are accessing CRISP. BGFL have always restricted those sites to their core network/IP range.

Off the back of having some extension works done, we're looking at changing our main Cab and having a partition wall around it, and creating a "server room" for it. Im struggling to source companies that are willing to take the full job on, new underground fiber runs, unpatch/repatch, aircon fitted, stud wall constructed etc etc. Can anybody put me in touch with somebody in the Midlands area that can do a decent job?

Sorry to wade in here unannounced and revive a dead thread. We're looking to change our ISP and move away from BGFL, I have been in touch with a few of the bigger schools replacement ISP (most are on here) and I am struggling to get any solid answers on what the process is for sorting Groupcall, Cenus, SchoolsHr, Crisp extract etc etc. If somebody who has been through this (and remembers or has notes on it), I'd love any info I can on this. Thanks for any help.

*inserts my 2p* If everything GB are writing is accessible through a FOI request, then that means they have to surrender their personal email accounts for data trawling surely? Im pretty sure if gov knew this they would quickly start using official school supplied accounts.....

What a brilliant place to start. Creating documents from a clean installation! Disaster Recovery policy? backup policy? I personally like to make a handbook/guide. I print out server specs, switch configs, a copy of the admin passwords, type up all the shares/dfs locations, keep a copy of policies with it, put a floor layout in it, with all the network diagrams in - and then its locked away.
