I have an option called "System Center 2012 DataCenter" because I have bought it. Then when I choose to download this, DPM is on the list separate.

I would personally go for Server 2012 and do a slower project, get non-critical servers on it first such as Print Servers that can be easily replaced and trial it. For everyone like me there will be others who will advise caution. I would say make sure your servers new or old, have full driver support for Server 2012 though before you start, as this could cause you issues, I have 2012 installed and I am setting it up as Virtual Desktop Pool (using HyperV) but some drivers have been diffciult to say the least.

Have you considered your filtering could be blocking it? Maybe they have some swearing on their homepage etc and you don't so on their accounts you can access FB.

A secondary nearby to us has Ubiquiti, well a lot do after I was promoting it. One thing to look out is Bonjour if you have a load of macs and hasn't done anything with it, it was causing them issues with slow pings etc. Also it is worth turning off the feature that checks if the network is up, usually the gateway because you don't want your wifi dying just because your gateway fails/ restarts etc

I have had this problem and it took ages to fix it. Our issue was quite a simple but near impossible to work out, basically it is the optical device that sticks the toner to the page, they don't actually use lasers these printers. If you open the printer top (like normal) you will see a piece hanging down that slots in just behind the toner when the top is shut, if I remember correctly you need to wipe the underside of this, use a damp (not wet) paper towel then dry it with another paper towel. Try that.

I use Data Protection Manager and do the bare metal backups onto a backup server.

Companies like Ebuyer usually have Nexus in and at the same price as Google, not sure if they limit you to number of purchases though.

There is thin client technology about that does this, though there are licensing costs due to multiple connections on one computer that probably has 1 server CAL etc. If the setup is permanent and you don't have a Terminal Server , then look at Multipoint Servers.

Your config file is likely wrong then, have you updated the locations and username/ passwords in it

Looking at the folder structure, the correct folders exist, as int eh correct ones for a Joomla install and in the right place. There could be multiple issues, as phil has highlighted above. Firstly you need to get php working, then once that is definitely working, you need to check other things step by step. If phpworks and you still have no site then: I would suspect your config file is wrong and pointing to the wrong place, usually when you move hosts, they will give you all the SQL details, you need to make sure these are right or Joomla will display nothing (an error if your lucky) because it can't read any info from the database. If your config file is definitely correct, then try "reinstalling" the website, just replace all your files directly. Though deleting and re-adding is a better way of doing it.

dnavekar I would suppose that the website works entirely, and the issue is merely where the host is being pointed to as your route directory. Within your ftp part, where you have uploaded the test.html, what other folders and files are there? Edit: I'm currently looking at my Joomla install on a CentOS webserver

Comet suffer because they have become a showroom for Internet shoppers. I reckon we are all guilty of going into a high street shop (not just Comet) and saying oh yes I like that one, then going home and buying it online.

We use D-Link in the core purely for financial reasons, and I do sometimes wonder how some schools can afford the expensive switches. But if you try to understand school funding then it is odd in itself, money for some subjects is better then others, then you have the social deprivation funds to, and pupil premiums that some schools get while others don't. The staff costs can also be massively different, some schools have staff that have all been there 5+ years and are at the top of scales, others staff are newer and are nearer the bottom of scales. All the above is before anyone even decides where the money the school does get should be spent! So I do get an idea of how budgets can vary massively, even within the same borough.

You can get custom build and warranties from other manufacturers anyway with warranties, the like of Broadberry come to mind. They are often cheaper then Dell and HP, who unless you buy what they want to sell you, you end up with a huge price increase. I often find nowadays though, that most server hardware and even desktop hardware lasts for longer then it use to, if you don't buy the cheapest stuff you can. Also depending on what your servers are used for, depends on the need for support. If I was building say 4 machines to be virtual hosts and connected to a SAN in a fail over cluster. Then the need for immediate support is reduced because in theory you can keep running on only 3/4 or even 2/4 servers so you have more time to fix the problems.

I am surprised secondary schools aren't saturating their 10mb lines anyway, we regularly go way over that.

I have used a Hitachi interactive projector, and I had the same issues many people report here now, the pens aren't accurate etc, the batteries die to fast. We bought 3 Smart LightRaise projectors (cost more) but the pens are much better, and very accurate, you don't need a stable hand to use them at all. They also charge via a USB, so no problem with batteries, as long as your staff can be trusted to charge them.

Maybe he means Hitachi/ Epson software is not as good as Smart or Promethean.

I gave examples of where there is more male/ female ratios, either more male or more female. I don't have access to the figures of the male/ female ratio at every level of every organisation. There may be more females in boardrooms in FTSE 350 companies, I don't know. Clearly your view is that we have to positively discriminate and you won't accept that some people may disagree with it, and think that positive discrimination might not be a good thing. I have to agree with LosOjos here, I think I'll step away from discussing this with you, it seems it would be as productive as a does God exist or not argument between an atheist and a Christian. Maybe the political system should be targeted first though, because we have had 1 female prime minister EVER, so I would have to see our percentages for that job role. Once politics has changed, then politicians can start forcing others to follow suit if that is what has to happen.

Some types of work men prefer and other women prefer, so some work places by default don't represent the social demographic. In general terms, more males prefer to do jobs such as the police, army and fire service for example. Whereas females may prefer other roles, teaching (especially primary schools), nursing. That is just how people are and we shouldn't try to force change everything to represent the social demographic, unless you would like the government to allocate you a job like in Futurama. Now there may be issues with discrimination but I don't think positively discriminating is going to fix it either, if two people are identically qualified and experience, and then a male is chosen because he is male, then that is an issue. If the male candidate is actually better but because they would like more females in the workplace, so they chose the female, what problem does it solve?
