  1. I try to avoid everything digital wherever possible. I have a large and still growing oldskool vinyl collection (Acid,Chicago house and Detroit techno). Just purchased a set of technics 1200s which I have recently picked up and I am trying to get back into the swing of turntablisim.
  2. Would be a struggle to find anything to spend that sizable salary on there.
  3. Never heard of them, but in my head I envisage a cheap garish late 1960s - early 1970s vinyl album cover when I hear the name - Think songs of praise.....
  4. Run in compatibility mode?
  5. Whilst I still have two arms with hands attached, I will continue reaching into my inside pocket for my phone. I don't find this an inconvenience. So in an essence, no I will never purchase this or anything similar.
  6. Event viewer can do this although a bit laborious. Try finding an application that will query the data and produce reports. Something like this Windows event log management software, monitor system, application and security event logs — FSPro Labs
  7. What OS reboots itself after pressing ctrl-alt-delete?
  8. Morning all, Just wondering if there is a simple tool (no powershell experience btw) to bulk insert email addresses into our AD accounts (circa 1,700 users). We have never used exchange(but now outlook 365) and as a CC4 network all the user email address fields are blank. We want to implement two things, one a single sign on with AD, but plus use the email address field to notify users when their password is about to expire. Any advice please? Andy T
  9. Three year lease cycle, out with the old in with the new, but as the costs shrink each lease cycle as we have found the an i3 with 8gb ram and 120gb SSD is sufficient for the last two cycles and hardware prices drop continuously.
  10. Got a Nokia Lumia 1020 at the last upgrade and since the recent "denim" update - I am quite impressed with its performance. However, I am considering when my contract runs out, cancelling my contract and spending a minimum of a year without a mobile device. After witnessing travelling around London on the overground/underground earlier this week, every carriage I could only describe as a soulless morgue with everyone's eyes fixated on their devices in silence. I am starting to think I do not wish to be part of that anymore.
  11. We are all Viglen Integra desktops (all identical chipsets) and Toshiba C50-A laptops. We always only go for one model per platform. Saves faffing around with different drivers etc.
  12. We have the client pushed out via a package via RMMC and call it at start up. I would clone your user group rename it to say pupils papercut exempt add members to the group but then omit running the client at start up?
  13. I was working on a project in partnership with Siemens to design, implement and roll out countrywide new letter sorting equipment in Royal Mail, then training postal workers and managers on the operational and safety aspects of the kit.
  14. Morning, Just wondering if there is anyone else having issues importing any other documents into starboard for annotating on? I never use it but some teaching staff are now starting to embrace it and this question has come up. Thank you

  16. Go to the advanced users tab in control panel, then you should see a tick box which needs to be re-ticked which states "users must use user name and password to log in to this computer" (or something along those lines)
  17. Yep we use this too for all resources too, even the schools mini buses. Not yet implemented SSO or SIMS integration but every school who I know also use this system rate it very highly
  18. Our LA created our package on CC4 and I am just looking at the constraints our main .msi uses which is Windows updates KB2670838 (64bit) and KB2834140-v2 (64bit) as well as a "settings" package. Have you those two updates installed?
  19. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks that these games are created by the evil illuminati as a control method/distraction of the populace. I used to laugh at an ex-customer who insisted I never updated his XP laptop to SP1 because he believed that the service packs were created by the CIA/FBI lol. The grief I gave those who sent me Candy Crush invites.........
  20. Thanks for the feedback guys, so in essence what I am looking for is what you would deem to be a reasonable budgetary quote for complete install of a lamp projector and a lampless model, including cabling, speakers and AV box on wall?
  21. If you find that wrong, my wife received a feedback letter from Watford General two weeks after she died in there... Luckily I am kind of thick skinned and understand mistakes/oversights can be made. Some people may not have been that tolerant..
  22. Afternoon, Just trying to get some recommendations on projectors preferably WXGA short throw. Looking at prices of lamped vs lampless, there still is quite a price difference between the two to the point of even a couple of bulbs added, lamped models still can give better value for money. Funds are tight, as is with most schools and interactive touch screens are not being purchased as we don't believe that even our existing IWBs are being fully utilised and have become in many areas a white elephant. All suggestions and recommendations most welcome!
