    apc ups stupidity

What model is it? What management does it have on the back?
  2. As TMCD35 says you will need to go to Volume Licenses if you want to buy 2013 and use 2010 from my understanding. Going VL doesn't mean you have to sign up to yearly costs though I believe you can just buy a Volume. Be aware you can also buy Second hand Volume licenses which can reduce the cost and it is 100% legal (just most people don't tell you that!)
  3. All cloud managed so each device talks directly to Meraki (no more than 1.5kb per device).
  4. Havn't used VDI in a box but i have used VMware View (now VMware Horizon View). Also Xen Desktop is now supported on VMware ESXI if you have VMware ESXI enviroment already.
  5. My comment was more drawn to make sure they are looking at the same thing - if they are using BT's dns and it has stale records or is up the swanny (which with it being BT is possible).
  6. On the exchange box do an MX lookup for the domains in question (type nslookup at cmd then set q=mx and the domain after). Query both the domains against your local DNS servers (what do these forward to??) and then against googles DNS servers directly 8.8.8.8
  7. If you know rugby well and the rules almost inside out (I've played for 17 years!) - you will realise that 95% of the decisions around the scrum that were made were either incorrect or inconsistent which is what Graham Roundtree has come out and said. Which even the Welsh guys at the rugby club also agreed. Don't get me wrong i don't think even with those decisions going out way we deserved to win but it is a well known fact that Steve Walsh tends to have an Anti-england approach.
  8. to me that suggests the issue isn't with exchange.
  9. I did it at my last place - from what i hear it works although i left before it quite got installed!
  10. Have done it to one server and all went ok - if i remember rightly it disables the services but that could have been one of the other service packs.
  11. You don't have any smart hosts configured to forward mail onto do you? Or if your using Smoothies anti-spam I guess that is your smarthost but does that forward onto anything?
  12. Is on the the Features within Fog and used to use that.
  13. what do you currently use from your LEA? 10mb line? 20mb? Filtering? Anti-Spam web hosting etc?
  14. Well if its up in April you have looked a little late - lead time on most Leased lines is 90 days.
  15. with the firewalls I have some in middle east and can manage it just as easy as i would one sitting next to me!
  16. I would also recommend Veeam - alternatively if you are looking for a complete hardware solution with lowish cost cloud backup take a look at Datto.
  17. the MDM is 100% free - you select login and create account. https://account.meraki.com/login/new_account It will then set you up with a systems manager account. One thing to bear in mind is that there is a list of required outbound ports to be allowed which you may require your LEA to open (if its LEA managed). More info here - http://www.edugeek.net/forums/netbooks-pda-phones/109541-urgent-info-required-2.html

    Net-Ctrl

From the point of view of people that sell systems - its deal registration basically to safe guard yourself against others. Normally when you at a slightly more advanced stage then just having met somebody at a show!
  19. Yup I'm trained in it! If you have any questions about how it works etc let me know and as you say yes it is 100% free although when you sign up expect a sales call but you are not tied into anything.

    PoE Switch

When i worked out the UPS requirements for having switches, phone system, routers, modems, fibre converters etc all on the UPS it was a few k to get decent uptime. I just put in an annalogue phone in reception area for emergency calls and SLT where happy with that.
  21. Could it just be companies which have bought data and using Bett as an excuse to call?
  22. Meraki for iPad is really good - what features do you require? They have also just released some updates for it too. More info here Managing iOS devices with Meraki Systems Manager - YouTube
  23. Something from the Nokia N Series? Nokia Nseries - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 2005
  24. If i am honest I have to completely disagree with that comment - depending on what you buy with those companies they tend to be just as good if not better! My old stones have 5 year on site warranty for less than dells!
  25. Then more fall them...IMHO
