To collect mac addresses shouldn't be too hard - you could probably knock up a script for startup which posts the contents of ipconfig /all to a text file on the file server. I can't remember how in batch you get it to append the same text file though. You should then be able to do a bit of magic in excel to get a list of only the mac addresses. For the Guest SSID I would expect the Ruckus system (I'm sure it has) has a feature in which only guests can see the default gateway for internet and nothing else (not any other clients) for added security. For the Staff System I would setup for that it uses AD based Auth requesting a username and password.

Its not just ping times - its repsonses to web requests etc that will also be affected. It can when I have looked into it previously appear to be just as slow to an end user as a low speed ADSL circuit because of the higher latency. As @CyberNerd says the latency on those connections are huge - anything up to 350ms which comparable with cable is god damn awful.

Ok I'm not 100% sure on how RDS works with VDI as I recommend VMware View, But no these devices won't connect up by the looks of it.

Are they setup as Terminal Servers? If not then from what I can see the E02 is a zero client for use with MultiPoint server only not normal Terminal servers.

Yup my client had this, i tried - Sophos command line scanner amongst other things along with a couple of others. All of which didn't detect until Kaspersky did.

Only thing that found this for me was kaspersky tds killer.

There about £7/800 each ish? I think, Perhaps a little more? It would be worth testing the MR16's to see if they give the throughput required but the MR24 will give you the greatest radio rate (900mbs)

They are the low end single radio ones, not bad for home but I wouldn't want to use in a production enviroment for more then a few devices! Nice though, i have an MR16 in the boot of my car at the moment although MR24's would be what you want in a school for the performance required.

Meraki kit is very good. And i love it not just the wireless kit which is the tip of the iceburg with what they do. There is a meraki rep round here somewhere too. I've deployed around 20 Meraki networks from here to Oman (quite literally) now and the technology in place is very very clever (especially around auto-vpn) and ssid which is a vpn tunnel to remote lan! They do tend to give out lots of trial kit quite easily. Which AP do are they giving away? MR12? in which case its the lowest of the range.

Meraki normally requires two ports in the 7000's opened outbound i can't remember if the system manager requires it too. I have a call with Meraki tomorrow and can ask if required. Or if you can wait 2 weeks I'm doing the CMNA on the 28th. With regards to running on Ruckus it should be fine.

If you setup a trust between them this should just work?
