Yes - you may need to check they support using Zimbra in the hosted version (as it looks at the email from the break line). Outlook edition works well with the Agent. Hosted so far is very good, although you need Exclaimer to create the signatures if they are not from one of there standard templates. Any questions DM me and I can take a look - we work quite extensively with Exclaimer now since posting this originally.

It was a long time ago - We gave up using Zimbra in the end however Exclaimer have changed the product set now - you have two options - Exclaimer Outlook Edition (if you are using Outlook) which has an agent on the machine and adds it to Outlook. Or the new Hosted Version which I am currently trialling for my office365 installation. You route all emails through them and they stamp the signature on it. Toby

I'm after sending to addresses with Umlauts really - have a customer doing a lot of work with Germans who require this. It may well be messagelabs rejecting it thinking about it.

I am struggling to find an answer on this. Is it possible to send an email to an email address is Umlauts in the email address with Exchange 2010. I can see that is is not in the standard RFC 2821 but there appears to be ways around sending it however I cannot get a firm answer. Any ideas?

I've been looking at this recently - I wouldn't do the onedrive but if you look at the NAS's such as Lenovo Iomega which can upload directly to AWS its dirty cheap. 1TB in the cloud on S3 is $30 a month..... TBH i would rather do that and know it is a simple setup then mess around with onedrive and all its fun.

Lenovo! Can't rate them enough! Mine is amazing.... although it was nearly 4 times that price! I have used devices all the way up the spectrum and they are very good devices. The ex IBM range of laptops.

As mentioned here yes that is correct. What I would then do (if your version supports DRS) is setup a DRS to tie the VCA to a physical host. This means that when everything is powered off for a reason you know which host the VCA is running on. Otherwise the larger the cluster the harder to find!

Yes - it has two management interfaces https://ipaddress:5480 (i think that ports right) which you configure all the settings from, update and upgrade from. Then you login either via the VMware Console or the WebUI (5.5 has some features only available via webui). If you you running 5.1 I would install 5.5 anyway as you can then later upgrade your ESXI hosts.

I would suggest a cloud based NAS drive - Some of them have built in modules to back themselves up to Mozy Pro or similar. Then get it set to email them once backups are done and they are safe in the knowledge there data is safe.

It is very good, the limitations have now been removed to make it very similar to the Windows Version. The only thing is you need to install the VMware Update Manager on a second Windows machine as this is not installed under Linux.

If you are licensed for VCenter I would go for the Virtual Center Virtual Appliance - it will install a Linux Virtual Machine. I find this better now than installing on Windows - all self contained and one less server to manage. (No Linux experience required).

Does the AP itself have high latency if you run a ping from it? That sounds like it could be a network issue rather than the AP's but without knowing more its hard to tell. Do you have legacy mode enabled.

There is 3 of them, one of them has the sky box, one dvd player so the eventual result is getting a remote to automatically open the draw. Essentially just geeking something so that I can be lazy That was my thought @AMLightfoot something along those lines, doesn't have to be fancy potentially controlled by a raspberry pi?

Hi All, I am trying to work out a way to electronically open the middle drawers on these... they don't open like drawers they fold down like the below. I'm fairly sure with a little motor it should be straight forward to setup just gotta work it out. Peoples Thoughts?

My comment was on the Equalogic, I've never used a Compellent unit with a shelf so I don't know. It would be good for Equalogic to do the shelf method as it can work out costly with Data expansion. HP support in my experience hasn't been to bad over the years, you just have to have a way of talking to them so they realise you know what you are talking about and say you have checked the things they are going to ask you to check before they ask you and they pretty much do what you want. TBH we can rave about SANS all day long but you could potentially look at doing local storage cluster in Hyper-V I know there are users who have done this previously.

Dell are actually in the process of merging compellant amd equalogic arrays. They are good the only major problem is when it comes to expansion, you don't buy a cheaper shelf you have to buy a new san and add to the group. Personally I feel Equallogic is old tech now and they are seriously feeling the pinch from the likes of Nimble etc. Personally i've used dell/hp/dothill/ibm sans and the Nimble is by far the best of all of them, depending on performance required.

Because it varies so much and they don't charge education the same as they charge a corporate for example - all vendors do it.
