If you are using Pop3 it will do that, You are actually downloading a copy to each machine and deleting it off the machine and not off the server. Hence why it still appears on the other machine. Is you email provider using hosted exchange or different? If exchange you would need to use RPC over HTTP to get this to work.

How is the account configured? Is it pop/imap?

It varies - dpd i would say are the best but parcelfarce and royal mail do bits. It all depends which warehouse it comes from and the size

Exactly what I have done - joined a company of 5 people - already up to 6 with 3 adverts out at the moment (1 apprentice, 1 tech, 1 sales admin).

So far my career has done this: Started in IT for 3 months to help doing odd bits in a school while waiting to Join RAF in Aircraft Engineering (Which never happened!) - Stayed there 18 months Moved to another school with more responsibility and abilities to expand the system (I rebuilt everything!). Was there for 2 1/2 years Moved out into the Private sector working for a Third Party Support provider and I now do the following: Work as Third Line escalation on the helpdesk (and 1st/2nd line to cover absences) Design, Install and configure everything from large VMware installations to Wide area networks. I love it now - I have managed to do a lot of training courses (these tend to come about a lot here when bringing in new partners) - I have completed the VMware VTSP, Nimble NTSP, VMware VSP (Only sales this one!), Open-E OCSE, Meraki CMNA. I hope to in a few years be in charge of the Technical side of the company (we are on a major growth spurt currently!) but it was a learning curve leaving EDU.

I've used them in the Gym since tuesday - not yet tested them swimming - work really well for the money. It comes with a little USB dock to charge them and so far I haven't had a problem I've done Running and rowing in them. Its a full MP3 player rather than just headphones

Buffalo support is awful…

Cisco Wifi is awful - hence one of the reasons they bought Meraki (the main reason being the cloud management)

In the end I ordered one of these to test it out (as I also like swimming a fair bit!) Sony Walkman W273 which is a 4GB MP3 player built into headphones which is waterproof for swimming - going to give it a try and see how I get on! Will post back as it arrived about 30 mins ago!

Went to visit a very large company down in Bristol who still have a Windows 3.0 machine running a cad solution...

I used to have this - I now get up at 6:15 and go to the gym for an hour - then home shower and get breakfast in me at work (around 8:45/9) this this keeps me awake until mid afternoon!

It is not going to equally split the load though - you can still potentially end up with all the load on a single server.

I'm 5ft 8" but still aiming to get my body fat down as it just seems to sit around my waist which I want to get rid of. Having to work on my Core strength now as that is lacking and causing issues with my back (of which rugby isn't helping!)

I'm around a stone down again now - Around 15stone but my body fat % has dropped a fair chunk (around around 20%), but I'm mainly doing Weights now with cardio coming in 1 session on the bike and a rugby match at the weekend (or a 4/5K run). I've made some considerable strength gains in the last 8 weeks i've been seriously gyming every monday-friday 6:20am for 1 hour. Managed to go from 100kg squat to 150kg (mainly through strengthing back rather than legs to cope - leg press i can do 190kg for 10 fairly easily). Bench press I can now do 90kg for couple but 80kg for 8. Flat Dumbell press I can do the 32kgs easily for 8 and same for incline. I've had to get my back/neck sorted at chiropractor though and that makes a huge difference so off the squats currently but enjoying the gym now which is what went out orginally. I still hate running and am tempted to sign up for a small triathlon soon which is 12 x 32m pool lengths 25k cycle and 5k bike.

Do you use Veeam? What transport methods do you use? USB3.0 should be able in theory write 5GBs/S to a disk so the bottleneck is probably the Sata drive in the device. With My clients I setup Veeam with Direct SAN access (for VMware) and Local storage in the Backup server. And then Servers are also replicated offsite. EDIT: Does Veeam with Hyper-V have any change block tracking?

Any reason you need two file servers with DFSR? If you use Veeam as a backup tool instead of DPM you could instantly boot a failed file server if the requirement/need was there

With Veeam it depends on the rate of change so it could be running through 6TB but actually only backing up 30gb

I would say that is a fair bit of iops for that small amount of things running. With regards to Atlantis there is another called pernixdata which i have heard very good things about.

Agreed very good firewall rubbish filter - wouldn't cut it in education. the filter lists/auth parths etc all have to sit on a seperate server and it isn't suitable for education. I have a few clients who use it purely for saying these 10 sites are allowed etc.

They may have changed since I used these but they where a pain in the backside to get a Powerpoint on them. Has that changed? I used to get the students to manage the content
