  1. Yeah the hook over ear ones I don't like ( I have strange shaped ears from rugby!). I know the price range isn't huge but I'm not a big music person i just like the distraction from the awful music they play in the gym
  2. Anybody??
  3. I have come to you guys for advice. I am looking for a decent pair of over the head headphones for the gym Probably looking £20-30. Any recommendations/
  4. In VSphere client - right click server edit settings, Options, VMware Tools, on the bottom left does it have Syncronise Guest time with host ticked?
  5. If you appeal before 14 days then they put on hold the lower fee - then if they reject it you get another 14 days at the lower cost.

    Bett 2014

Well I am potentially thinking of coming up on Saturday to steal all of @Millgate cocktails!
  7. Grey Squirrels are technically rodents that is probably why! Red Squirrels are endangered also
  8. Which sans have you looked at? I wouldn't say that TBH, SAN's are a must for VDI IMHO but the correct hardware is a must.
  9. I pressed submit before I had finished, but that is a very good hardware failure rate. VDI isn't a fit for everyone I will agree that but it can be very good - but it can also be completely wrong.
  10. Not always - the reduced management overhead can bring the price TCO down a lot! It isn't a solution for everybody and TBH I don't think it suits Edu. It is very good for large companies who house all Kit in Datecenters as it works very well over WAN.
  11. They are top notch - the support is excellent, the only downside is depending on what package you get - there are usage caps (I have the middle plan with cap of 200gb) but the FTTC doesn't have any usage limits.
  12. I have Zen across my customer base - brilliant all round I have to say.
  13. With Sans this is how I have tended to leave them, it isn't ideal but but give the san a couple of mins once the VM and hosts have shutdown to clear itself.
  14. remove those updates and it resolves issue, unless it is autodiscover issue.
  15. TBH i hadnt check if it was supported or not. It appears to be those updates which cause the issue.
  16. And the reason nowadays not to use .local is because bonjour doesnt like it i believe which can cause issues.
  17. That works but is a bit of a pita (as you have to remove outlook profile). I am just trying windows updates to see if the newer ones fix this.
  18. That's exactly what I am doing at the moment!
  19. Woops changed - too used to writing the opposite for BT
  20. Exchange 2013 is in the pipeline. I am just rolling out VDI for this client now so we went with 2013 to start with. I am just removing a few updates which can apparently cause an issue.
  21. The Support is 2nd to none, when you ring up you a talking to somebody who does actually know what they are talking about. they are based in Rochdale. EDIT: changed to make sense!
  22. Personally I recommend ZEN internet. What yo need to be sure about the SLA around FTTC, becuase as fair as I am aware it is the same as ADSL (i.e could be forever to fix). Ideally you want to be going EFM for the SLA if no fiber is present.
  23. I have an issue with Outlook 2013 and Microsoft Exchange 2007. When trying to modify Out of office the error "Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later" is displayed. From an Outlook 2007 machine this is fine. The Test Auto Config is displayed here: Display_Name /o=COMP/ou=FIRST ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP/cn=RECIPIENTS/cn=User 9b3918cb-e0be-4e23-abdf-5ac593723e59 email settings EXCH InternalServer.FQDN /o=COm/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=Server 72038053 /o=Comp/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=Server/cn=Microsoft Private MDB ServerInternal.FQDN Domain.Controler.Local https://ServerInternal.FQDN/EWS/Exchange.asmx https://ServerInternal.FQDN/EWS/Exchange.asmx https://ServerInternal.FQDN/EWS/Exchange.asmx https://ServerInternal.FQDN/UnifiedMessaging/Service.asmx https://ServerInternal.FQDN/OAB/e86e381d-307f-4451-836a-73615e054f9b/ EXPR ServerExternalFQDN On Basic https://ServerExternal.FQDN/OAB/e86e381d-307f-4451-836a-73615e054f9b/ WEB https://ServerInternal.FQDN/owa EXCH https://ServerInternal.FQDN/EWS/Exchange.asmx I can access every web address mentioned (I got a 403 forbidden on the OAB one though). I have tried everything I can think off and google and Am at the point of banging my head on the wall!! Any ideas?
  24. Fair play - i havnt had an issue with the support, what hardware do you have it running on?
  25. What issues do you have? i've always found the support brilliant, but i'm also a trained engineer on the system! Sorry for taking thread off topic
