I have done a lot of work with Meraki and have to say its very good kit, reliable. I have deployed quite a few Meraki solutions in small, medium and largish clients (the largish being teleworker rather than wireless) The Zero Config VPN is very good, there is also the Z1 unit which is cheaper than an AP (about £150) which is a built in switch and AP. Yes it can be purchased seperatly although for the Z1 you need one of the MX security appliances. With regards to the ongoing support cost for the cloud controller yes it becomes flawless without this but you can either bulk upfront the payment which reduces the cost. This is a similar cost to the ongoing support you would pay for with the other solutions.

There is no veeam jobs running? I would stop all Veeam jobs, go into services stop them all and make sure there is no veeam processes running. then try and delete it again. Could be a process still running in the background. Else I would raise a case with Veeam/Vmware.

Ah ok, well you may or may not know, veeam backup to tape is coming in the near future. Personally I setup the following with my clients. 1. Veeam backups to disk. 2. Veeam replica's (off site) 3. Put the veeam backups into tape We use Mozy pro to put critical data in the cloud also It does have a different way to backup servers but you can do Instant restores through the system and also slower host restores.

that sounds right if the snapshots were not created before - veeam would get confused with the Change block tracking errors as they hosts would not be consistent. I can get you an example Veeam dr test document if that helps? I am actually re-writing a process this afternoon for one of my clients. Just one thing to mention - do you also do veeam backups along with Veeam replica's? replica's alone do not provide sufficient backups.

Personally What I do when doing DR tests with Veeam is essentially what is mentioned in that Blog post. 1. Disable any Veeam job which may run during the process of testing (this depends if you are doing hourly/daily replicas). 2. Ensure any Replica is in a Sandboxed network. 3. Create Snapshot of any VM's to be switched on. 4. Switch on VM's and perform tasks required to verify integrity. 5. Shutdown Vm's and delete snapshot that was created in step 3. 6. Enable Veeam jobs. What gave you the impression it corrupted your Veeam jobs?

It just means the entire database can be cached into memory, not always relevant but with Sims there is quite a lot of queries which need to be run quite often, especially if you use lesson monitor as well. With regards to the paging that is fine with its location - how much is used regularly?

I use Message Stream via @EduTech something like 3.25 but I only have a mailbox and non of the add-ons.

I would up the ram to 12GB if you can. For Sims I say 4GB for the Windows OS the Database size plus 2Gb for queries. Do you run FMS on the server also? In which case I would add the two database sizes together and then add the 2GB on top. You are using full SQL yes? Or Express? EDIT: how much is it paging? is the Paging file on the Same drive/Lun as the SQL database?

How big is your Sims Database? If anything I would try and increase the amount of memory the Server is allocated. SQL loves its RAM and the more you can give it, the better it will perform (obviously there are other factors too). EDIT: is it any reports in particular?

it was a controller based wireless access system, the model i cannot remember as i've left there now. It was half that it was setup badly (not by me) but also that it didn't have the throughput for what was specced before (again not by me!!)

Did a chest and back DTP session yesterday, but did supersets, so 50 chest press then 10 second break into 50 back rows then 40, 30, 20 10 and back up again to 50 so all in all 600 reps - takes around 30/40 mins. Currently: Squat 120KG Deadlift 140KG Chest Press 60KG Shoulder Press 50KG Leg Press - 190KG My Cardio is fairly good but i don't really work on that too much in the gym, leave that more for at rugby matches etc Hitting about 1900Cals a day with 170G of Protien
