    I know what you mean - but you should be able to tie the open ports to IP's that the SIP provider will give you, and not just open to everybody. My experience it is ports 5060 (occasionally 5061) and normally ports 44000-60000 I have also seen it where the SIP interface is in a DMZ and can only communicate with the firewall.

    Really? If I am honest anything that uses URL based filtering rather than inspection like Smoothwall does wouldn't cut it in Education.

    It isn't granular enough nor is it comprehensive enough to cover a school on the webfilter side. Firewall brilliant webfilter not.

    What Model? Some of the newer ones run Comware not the HP software so might be different.

    This - check it is getting DHCP from that server. also look to see what is set under serve options - as additional settings can be put here here.

    I'm afraid not - but you can do it via startup script using this They will uninstall Mcafee 8.8 the first one the Enterprise part the second the Mcafee agent.

    I paid a lot less that £127/device (5K for 900 machines for 3 years). Mcafee can be either a pain or easy to remove - Which version are you running? I am actually doing this again - but replacing with another vendor.

    I have to say when I deployed this (2 years ago now) dumping Mcafee it was very good value and also a doddle to install it!

    Mahara is good - last time i used it it intergrated with moodle well too.

    TBH I find nowadays in the majority of programs RAM and SSD's are the key to performance. CPU although does obviously account for a lot but you get noticeable performance increase in both of these elements rather than CPU.

    I had biometrics installed when we did the photocopier solution thing. But they it was going to be tied into the Cashless catering system which used Bio.

    90% of the charges they company provide are the managed backup not the storage. - I havn't worked with redstor but I have worked with the likes of Databarracks. They main costs they have is the availability of having somebody ready 24/7/365 to get your data on a USB and back to you within x number of hours. They also tend to manage the support so they tell you if you have a backup issue and remove that headache.

    All over the world but the EU datacenter is in Ireland and you are able to specify this.

    Software Assurance gives you access to the Enterprise installers as mentioned above.

    I would recommend Datto appliances - although I doubt the online costs would be in your price range.

    Are microfilters being used everywhere? And its not that you have the openreach built in microfilter and an additional one? Dial 150 and see if you get put through to SKY or another provider - if another it means its activated wrong.

    Would you say that if the country still owned Pickfords Removals? and BSM - BP, British Aerospace (Now BAE), Cable and Wireless, Jaguar, BA, BAA. The List continues it is just the next company that we can shift while it is profitable.
