MDT 2013 windows 10 sysprep and capture not working
mikeglover replied to stbede's topic in O/S Deployment
Hi, Don't know if you've resolved your issue already but hopefully this may help: What version of MDT are you using? I know I had issues with MDT 2013 Update 1 and when Update 2 came out it resolved them. Also make sure you got the latest Windows ADK installed there was a 1602 version released and I had the first version that came out at release which I think had some bugs. If you're downloading and using latest Windows 10 ISO 1607 you need 1607 ADK to match. With all of that installed. I would try just setting up separate deployment share to test on. First just making sure a reference machine builds and then capturing. I followed these guides on MS site: Create a Windows 10 Image https://technet.microsoft.com/itpro/windows/deploy/create-a-windows-10-reference-image Deploying a Windows 10 Image https://technet.microsoft.com/itpro/windows/deploy/deploy-a-windows-10-image-using-mdt- 1 reply

RM CC4.5 Workstation Compatiblity Check
mikeglover replied to mikeglover's topic in Network and Classroom Management
Thanks everyone. They are a mixture of RM machines. I'm at the site again tomorrow so I'll be able to get a list of models Edu-IT. Thanks -
Hi, I support a primary school part time (2 hours a week) They are looking to upgrade from CC4.2 to CC4.5 and workstations upgraded from XP to Win7 SP1. Is there any RM tools to check if a workstation is CC4.5 compatible? Or would the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor tool be the best way? All the workstations are official RM workstations. My knowledge of RM CC4 is limited but appreciate any advice.

Google funds 15,000 Raspberry Pis for Schools
mikeglover replied to speckytecky's topic in Raspberry Pi, Arduino & Other SBCs
If anyone finds out more details about how to get involved with this can they post please. Very interested in this for our school. -
On Chrome there is a green space on the left about 100px which seems to push everything over so it doesn't look central. As regards width I recommend 960px it is a common standard which fits well. Apart from that looks clear

iSAMS offer an API for 3rd party apps to plugin into. Thank you I'll give them a call.
-
We are currently looking at iSAMS as an alternative to SIMS. We use Moodle as our VLE system. Does anyone have experience of iSAMS and moodle together on the same network? Is there any form of integration so you can enrole a list of students from iSAMS to a moodle course and also create groups in the course based on classes?

Just to confirm this worked great for me first time as well. It was really annoying me. Saved me a headache

Hosting multiple websites for ICT course?
mikeglover replied to mikeglover's topic in Web Development
Thanks for all your replies. I was going to stay clear of SAMBA as i dont want them to browse their web root using explorer.exe as I could see them moving folders about and causing all kind of issues with their sites. We use Dreamweaver for web development so we want to get students into the practice defining their site with Dreamweaver and then using remote server. The reason why I was thinking of using AD was that it will be roughly 100 students users that would need to make the system so didn't want to manually create users and need some way to nicely manage it. Must admit I don't have much experience with IIS and I'm more comfortable with LAMP but that might me a solution. The bash script thing sounds like a good way to go as well for bulk creation that I hadn't thought of. Thanks -
Hi, I am currently looking at starting a project where we have a web server that hosts our students websites that they create in ICT lessons. The idea being it gives them experience of uploading to a server via FTP and all the sites being in a centralised easy for marking and moderating. I am looking at something that would run on Linux, use Apache and also connect via LDAP (AD Integration) to create ftp users and virtualhost folders for the students that will be making websites, so I'm looking for an easy web hosting management system with AD integration. I've looked at ISPConfig and Webmin but wondering if anyone else could recommend a management system that would suit this project? This would all be internal based and not public facing.

Hi, Could be hidden in the themes css code. Are you using a custom theme? I'd recommend looking in the style.css file of the theme for anything that says "display:none;"

Hi, thanks for your reply but I'm afriad that doesn't work. So my code now look like this now: When i run the script there are no errors but nothing is added into the timetable now. I double checked the Room ID.

I'm having issues working out what to change the periods to in the bulkYearMake.php. We dont have a Reg in the morning so currently when i import the timetable Mon:1 is appearring in the Lesson 2 slot on MRBS. This is the period script I have setup already: And the periods that appear in the SIMS csv are Mon:1, Mon:2, Mon3, Mon4, Mon5, Mon6. The script doesnt need to skip any breaks or lunches. Can someone help me by giving me the correct script I need. Thanks

Does anyone know of any Open Source projects that does Printer Monitoring on Windows network? Ie. Determine print usage acrossed the network. Doesn't need to have quota ablities but thats always an added bonus

How to Fix the 0x80070002 Windows Update Error: A Simpler and Easier Way to Fix the Problem This link isn't a fix for your issue but it sounds like something similar. The 0x8007002 sound like you got a windows update that has failed or not downloaded properly. I have enough issues with the Windows 7 sysprep as it is but I'm wonder if when your problem might be to do with when grabbed the image of Windows 7 if it had automatic updates and was awaiting a reboot for an update it downloaded in the background.

Don't know if it has been discussed here already but I discovered a very handy app called JuceDefender which aims to improve battery life. It's improve mine by about x 2.00 Another one is Transdroid for all you BitTorrenters out there.

I think HTC Desire and Android in general are much better than iPhone OS 4 at the moment. For starters it's more open than Apple and the Android users that I know like me are very happy with their phones.
