  1. i'm running my 2010 server with 200 mailboxes as a vm with around 10 other vms, on a dl380 g6. dual quad., 32gb ish RAM (the exchange VM has 4-8gb can't remember exactly)
  2. no i want the button to run the workflow which it does. but i don't want to be prompted to start the workflow, i've already clicked on the button!! anyways from what i've heard elsewhere you can't get rid of the workflow prompt.
  3. we should all know how this feels. something breaks due to not your fault, you work late to get it fixed. and all you get is grief.
  4. Hi, I am running sharepoint 2010. I am currently building some stuff in it. I have a ribbon button in the list item ribbon that starts a workflow. when you click it, it brings up the "workflow initialization form". (Click start to start the workflow) but there is no data to be entered. and its not like the worflow launches all the nukes pointed at Russia so I don't really need this level of confirmation. is there a way to stop the form from displaying?
  5. coupled with technicians not having to change bulbs in a school with 100+ projectors freeing them up for other stuff, although changing a bulb in itself isn't the longest job in the world factor it is one of the few jobs where you physically have to visit the problem, technicians office location and projector location aren't always next to each other, for some schools even on different sites. the massive zoom is amazing, i watched most of the world cup on one. honestly most teachers have commented on the picture quality being better. (obviously their making an unfair comparison to a 5 year old broken projector, but if their happy, whats the problem?>)
  6. try booting from a windows PE cd and run a virus/ malware checker from that
  7. its quite a good one as far as forums go. not quite the ego-fest some other forums descend into. and the search button is definitely your friend, i do have questions but I hardly ever post them because 9/10 times its already been covered.
  8. are the files folders local? or on a server?
  9. yes that sounds very likely. RootkitRevealer
  10. corrupted NTFS??? disk failure?? have you run chkdsk?
  11. ok thanks. i still think enforcing strict safe search is a better option. but I may your method for the admin staff.
  12. even before we started buying the casios. when we still on epsons we were of the opinion of buying new projectors rather than replace the bulb as there wasn't much in the price difference. and at lot where still dim after changing bulb
  13. i'd be very surprised if I got sent any casio bulbs
  14. casio's are around x2 the price of epsons. warranty for 5 years for education. so no costs for 5 years. brightness is not a problem. they are brighter than epsons and more flexible in terms zooming they seem to have a better zoom range, and they even auto-keystone.
  15. we didn't even need that, just some threaded rod and nuts.
  16. they kind of have been for years. the erm middle man so to speak
  17. i think its a pretty apt title. + it got peoples attention so they checked their systems quickly
  18. probably the main reason I'm upgrading to 2008 R2. we're using DPM and getting a server back up is easier with "bare metal" restore. still not a one step process though. and gonna take a long time for 40+ vm's
  19. or replace them with casio's (bulbless)
  20. are your nic/vswitches vlan tagged / trunk ports?
  21. is it an OU, i honestly can't remember. it must be computers that isn't then
  22. technically dc's isn't an ou is it? its a container. subtle difference but you can't apply gpos/
  23. personally i wasn't talking about vmware server. and i see no reason to use it. i was talking about ESX(i)
  24. how is hyper-v nowadays? kinda of reminds of ten years ago netware vs windows? no way I would trust windows for file and print sharing. I do use it nowadays. kinda feel the same about hyper-v vs vmware? will vmware become like novell in ten years? technically superior product lost out to free bundled with windows?
