It should, but it does not.

What we wanted was the one with Nathan Fillion. What we get may be the equivalent of Sahara to the Clive Cussler book...I hope not. Edit: Couldn’t watch at work. I can go for this - young Nate, “oh crap!”, scenes that look like a level from the game (I can just feel the muscle memory watching the cargo crate jumps!) Looks fun. I don’t worry about action movies being classics, even with a franchise I love.

I have bought a number of Vostro 3001 recently - I was very impressed with them. They were bought direct from Dell as Lenovo orders were slow due to demand, and I knew I could get the Dells within a week. Nice machines and good value. Was happy enought to then order a 2-in-1 from them again recently which is a lovely machine.

Can you use the WSUS cleanup script on the old server? It’s paid-for now, but it is worth that money. WSUS doesn’t need 10TB to work that way - it is fundamentally broken as you’ve seen. Maybe @mavhc is right now - time for WUfB? In the meantime, to get that update off either try the cleanup script to get the old one working, or a removal script on startup as suggested. Getting a new , hesitant server to commission at this stage is straying too far from the issue.

I thought that was the case going back to 2013 - I have a line in my install script that removes the old version first.

My last bulk load, when we went to 10G to edge switches last year, were from Amazon. The brands were Helos, Cables 2 Go and Good Connections. They were all grand, and cheap.

As above, you'll find OM2, OM3 and OM4 (and maybe OM5?) patch leads will work with 50/125µm but best to match up. We have a fun mix of fibre grades across site, with our CCTV on pre-OM1, OM1, OM3 and OM4 which makes fibre matching super-fun! Thankfully our main network is mostly OM4, with corresponding patch leads.

That should be 2048 by default. You need to create the CSR in the Exchange Management Shell if you want to specify it.

BBC says it was a shockwave caused by the rapid oxygen displacement (Halon?) damaging the disks - which would be a big negative to those systems unless your servers have SSDs!

Hugely impressive fire-suppression system, hugely awful data resilience.

The Wildlife (and Gardening for Wildlife) thread

Is that a variety of Huntsman? They really are chunky. Much as I'd love to see parts of Oz, the presence of a face sized spider puts me off a little. -
Problem is the V15 is a budget consumer crossover to light business device - their higher models are in a different league. Shame though, as the old B5** and B** models weren't bad old workhorses.

If the wildcard covers the domains on those servers, yes. I've used a mail cert for my Exchange server which is not a wildcard cert - it just contains the specific domain names. If yours currently works, then it'll be fine.
-
Pretty much. You specify where the CSR will go when it's saved, usually C: on the exchange sever is easiest.

CC21 does deploy with MDT without turning off UAC - that was using MSI. Same if I use a GPO. I looked up the error codes in the system logs for failed deployments of a package that I'd built, and it was rejecting it due to system requirements not being met - but you'd see the same when manually installing. Do you get any fault codes in the logs?

I haven’t had my winning confirmation email yet, I’m hoping that they’re just being a bit slow sending it.

I think I'd probably jack in work too now, time is too valuable to spend it earning money I wouldn't need even if the job is rewarding. I'd build a leisure complex in our town. That'd eat...quite a lot of it. There'd be enough left for a VW Up.

You could use a NOT and list the Windows 10 build versions you have in place. Therefore, any version that is NOT one of those, will detect as 11. That'd be fairly neat.
-
The same we've used for Windows 10 should work: select Version,ProductType from Win32_OperatingSystem WHERE Version like "10.22000%" As they haven't incremented the major version number you'll have to boil it down a bit more unless you can get 'greater than' to work. https://serverfault.com/questions/880006/wmi-filter-to-detect-windows-10-creators-update-or-higher

Are you involved in the ‘why?’ part of the discussion? A project like this can bring huge benefits, but you need to be involved at a higher level than this. It tends to head off the “why can’t they connect to the laser cutter?!” and “just make them work with the Smartboards!” stuff. It does sound like you’re thinking along the right lines. Infrastructure, including internet speed, wifi 6, quality MDM, supporting devices and a clear outline of device capabilities with all requirements able to be met.

Ah, you have a wonderful Chinese laser too? Many 'no softdog', many times. Ours is still running on 7, completely off network. Getting projects onto that PC is a nightmare! TinkerCAD is also used here, had good feedback.

Do the applications have a 'no restart' switch you can use? I'm trying to think when the auto-logon works - it certainly does early on in the task sequence, but not sure about later. Always found litetouch resumes itself if it has stopped along the way.
