We have taken in some school's data to investigate particular cases of the reporting engine running slowly so that we can improve specific cases.

I've discussed the non-pp issue with the team this morning. For spring we are going to include a whole school graph so it is easy to create any opposite graph i.e. non-pp or non-EAL etc. In summer dynamic groups can be used directly within Discover.

Astronomically autumn runs from Sept 23rd to 21st Dec!

Create a dynamic group from a Venn with PP dropped onto the whole school. The non-PP group can be made into a dynamic group.

An issue was reported on the 6thSeptember where users with class teacher access were no longer able to viewstudent contact’s details from the student details contacts panel by doubleclicking on the contact when the “open“ button is disabled. Upon investigationit was found that the code was changed by the staff performance moduledevelopment team to prevent users opening a record by double clicking when theydidn’t have the access to the record via the “open” button. The double click will bere-activated in the autumn release so that userswith class teacher access will be ableto view read onlyinformation about contacts. Please note class teacher access users can stillsee most of contacts details via the “student teacher view”. We apologise forthe inconvenience caused. Fixed in this coming release.

This is a problem that can only be solved from the top. Constructing a timetable is a great intellectual challenge and therefore enjoyable but it takes many weeks of solid work usual the expense of doing something less rewarding. Computers can create excellent timetables in for complex requirements minutes.

Discover dynamic groups are available on mark sheets and in the report generator. Handy for defining very complex queries. You can also use them in Discover itself.

There are two ways. SLG has a data collection sheet for parents which schools can edit before importing. There is also an import from school web site option which I think is part of R&A bit might just be an extra.

Well you could do a generic BUT this would defeat the facilities offered. Firstly in Cover - use the name of the person to keep an accurate log of when they have been used. Secondly the cover teacher will have access to the class register (only the pupils that they should see) so they can take it, add behaviour or achievements and see class photos.

Please log a case. There are not widespread problems like this occurring.
