    @scholarpack - confirmed that they are up to date. There will be a change to reflect teachers pay and conditions changes at some point once we have confirmed the way it has to be held.

    Contact your support provider - could be us. For some reason you're not being recognised.

    It was a change request to removal of the "~"but there were unintended consequences. Fixed in Summer 2 and undoubtedly a very annoying mistake.

    Is she actually teaching and not being covered?? If someone else is teaching her class, like a diary it will show what she is doing instead. This changes in Nov when the timetable will show the class, who is covering and what they are doing instead.

    @CAM - yes XP can continue to work in our hosted environment. We could support Macs too but haven't had the demand as yet.

    @CAM I will check. As the application is completely hosted it's possible. However I feel that it would be irresponsible of us to support XP use after it is out of support.

    @APC it was my mistake - I didn't read the first post carefully enough and just assumed it was a cloud issue. This is rather different and strange!

    Not sure about that @matt40k. We migrated 350 schools over 8 months and the Norfolk co-ordinator spoke at our conference about their move together with a head who sang our praises.

    @caffrey we do offer SIMS as a hosted solution which will avoid many of the issues you are concerned about.

    I can confirm that in many cases new academies are allowed to keep the old school's data. However census returns have to be adjusted to exclude data from the previous school.

    Well @GREED almost all Norfolk schools moved to SIMS from e1!

    XP is a problem as MS are not providing any security fixes. An article I read explained just how risky this can be. When vulnerabilities are patched in supported versions, hackers start to probe unsupported versions to see if they have the same weaknesses.

    This is the conundrum of cloud solutions - you are hiring an application that manages your data on servers you don't own. Suppliers have overheads in providing these services so are very unlikely to offer this for free after you move on.

    So have you spotted that the #3 supplier is no longer on the IMLS framework? The framework didn't allow for novation in change of ownership.

    Does the report work on other workstations?

    At the moment it tries once per day. I agree with you that it should try harder!!

    I think it should try again a few more times. The fear was it could get into a loop.
