The best port to try is 586 if anybody has this problem in the future and needs to authenticate. My ISP blocks all SMTP traffic apart from to it's own mail servers on port 25. Change it to 586 (another common SMTP port), and it works without a problem. Tom

You cannot easily have 2003 and 2007 on the same machine as they share some registry entries etc, sometimes one will just stop working all together. There are ways around this though - will explain soon unless somebody beats me to it!

Unless you really need to cash, why don't you keep it on retention until you have a car that you can put it on?

If you are running Server 2008 you could look at Application Streaming. Effectively like running a terminal server without the need to log in. You could install Office 2007 on the workstations, and 2003 on the server to present the apps to the workstations when needed.

That's a really good idea! I have a white painted section of the wall over my desk at home with some clear perspex over it using mirror round head capped screws. Looks really cool and allows me to write on with dry erase pens and wipe of as well. The paint being the whiteboard surface would be even better!

The time being out of sync would be my first check as well. I know this makes a lot of difference on our NAS drives, which is really frustrating as they never seem to automatically adjust themselves for daylight savings!

I assume you mean creation of a table within the description field of an event? What web browser are you using to access OWA, and are you running Exchange 2003 or 2007? Anything less than Internet Explorer will not give you the full OWA experience. I have only Firefox and Safari here with me at the moment so cannot answer your question fully but I would imagine you either need to try using Internet Explorer, OR, if you are already using IE, then the tables may not display properly as OWA isn't the "full" Outlook package.

Another vote for APC kit; it's what I've always used and apart from having to replace batteries, have never had a problem with it. As kmount stated however, if you are looking at 20-30 minutes backup you will probably need to spend a little bit of money. More so if you want the 20-30 minutes to also power a TFT or something to help you get the server shutdown in case of emergency!
