Have you just applied the 10.5.8 update by any chance? I have a new MBP and although it isn't freezing like yours, it's behaving rather strangely after the update. Especially airport but this is a known issue.

Not actually sure if you can still get this model but something similar is all you will need. If you are bootcamping your windows as well, the logitech ones always seem to work better than other makes (no idea why though!).

Never really been a gamer myself either but used to play with some of the older flight simulators and the combat flight sims as well. Very definately. You can pick up some good cheap ones but for flight simulator you really want one with a throttle control as as many buttons as you can!

It's ridiculous. Where I used to work was 12 miles away from my home. Used to take about 30 mins in the car (traffic in city centre). I used the bus to get to work once: -50 Minute walk to the nearest Bus stop -First morning bus left 3 hours before work started -Got to work approx 20 mins late -Finished work -Hour and 20 minute wait for bus -Home at 8:30PM after another 50 minute walk in the rain This is when I lived in rural Lincolnshire. Public transport does not work if you are not in a developed zone - end of story. The amount of stuff I had to carry to and from work used to only just fit in my car boot - I'd have no chance of carrying it on public transport. So why should I have to pay £250 to not suffer like that every day?

And a Mac Mini rather than a CarPC :-)

I've heard a lot of good things about the Canon cameras of late I will admit. I did buy a camera magazine but for somebody that knows absolutely nothing about cameras, it seems to imply you need to spend a fortune so you can take some good shots. They don't seem to cater for the, just want something better than my phone, market!

I only have experience with the larger Xerox units (reprographics stuff) but have to agree with you about their build quality. Second to none at the moment I think.

I don't think I have ever taken a photograph that hasn't been done using a mobile phone but as time goes on I realise that I need a proper digital camera more and more. I don't want to spend a fortune as it will be my first proper camera and I want to have a play with something cheap before I get into it and start spending a fortune. Looking at a budget of approximately £100 what would be a decent digital camera to buy? What should I be looking at feature wise that makes a camera worth having? Thanks Tom

It should work? There are citrix and rdc applications for the iPhone and Safari supports Java. Never tried it though........

We have a Drobo (not the pro version) and can't rate them highly enough. You can stick any drives in, any manufacturer, size, anything and it just works. Very quick to rebuild after a failure and depending on the redundancy level set I think the pro can handle up to two simultaneous failures. Need confirmation on that one though!

From a server to a main switch or something? I know it's a short length but shielded cables can work wonders!

If you mean patch cables then I have always found CPC to be fairly reasonable if you look hard enough. Depending on how many you need it's probably cheaper to get a big drum of cable and make them up yourself.
