  1. It really annoys me that does - how come he is allowed to fly and yet if I go over my luggage allowance by the weight a grain of salt, I will be charged for it. Weight allowance should be luggage + passenger!
  2. Skype - use it all the time to communicate between UK and Sweden. Works a charm, and completely free on Mac and PC for webcam meetings.
  3. This solution will work in Snow Leopard, but not Leopard, due to the application creator codes within the saved file. It never seems to "stick" for very long with Leopard, but SL ignores creator codes and will open files with whatever application you want.

    2012 ...

I agree, and have to see that kevbaz's review has been one of the most positive ones I've seen! :-)
  5. I think I used to know her.......
  6. That's pretty cool!
  7. Run "CMD" as an administrator, browse to the Hosts file and edit it with the command prompts text file editing ability.
  8. I always used J2MeVNC for VNC, and RDM+ for remote desktop connections (TS). The TS app is not free, but I think that you can download it to trial. Tom
  9. There should be a file explorer/manager app possibly within the office section of the menu. (It's been a while since I used my E61 but installing apps is pretty easy this way). Tom
  10. Another vote for CS New Media. Support is second to none (even when the problem is my own fault Carl )
  11. It's dry here but very windy. Apparently our fence at home has given up already - another thing to fix!
  12. A school I know uses roll numbers (I think I mean roll numbers) from SIMS. Pupil knows this number well as it is used for other things.
  13. Funniest thing I've seen in ages! I want to go and start a fight with a shark now though....
  14. I think that now it is so easy to own one, it's silly not to in case of emergencies etc. However, there is nothing to stop you turning it off except for when YOU want to use it, thought about doing the same many times before myself.
  15. What did you think of my site?
  16. Couldn't have put it better myself!
  17. Although this is technically true, if your network is fairly secure anyway - there should be no option that they can access to join a domain anyway. They shouldn't be allowed to get into the rename computer dialogue or anything like that. The only place this may be an issue is students bringing in laptops from home and joining them to the domain but there are a number of different solutions to this. Tom
  18. SCCM will do this for you - but possibly overkill for your purposes. Tom
  19. If the driver is 32 bit then running in compatibility mode won't work. Unless I am horribly mistaken but I have always thought that x86 drivers would not work in an x64 enviroment.
  20. I tend to use only Mac where I can help it so know all about that! :-) Would just be handy to have my scanner installed on my W7 laptop as well. And of course, when I upgrade my parents machine, it's a definate need!
  21. Starting to think about doing this actually. Just wish there was a "simple" solution. It may come down to buying a new unit! My parents have the same scannner and I'm going to be upgrading them to Windows 7 soon, and trying to get them to run a virtual machine is so unnecessary and will just cause me more headaches! Thanks though, Tom
  22. Thanks, but I can't seem to find any x64 driver for it whatsoever - not even one for a model close to mine! Tom
  23. Hi all I have been running W7 x64 for a while now and finally got around to trying to install my scanner. It is a fairly old device (a n67OU) and I can't seem to find a 64-bit driver for it anywhere. Never needed anything better as I only use it for scanning in utility bills etc. Is there such a driver available or is it time to bite the bullet and buy a newer one? Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks Tom
  24. I thought it did? But can't find it now!
