Connectivity is fine. The big problem is Netsweeper. It's been truly awful for us. Really wish they hadn't gone that route. Reporting is terrible, and we have to go through several other systems in an attempt to find out who has been looking at things they shouldn't. If you're on Windows I'm sure it might work fine, but if you use any other platform you may be better looking for alternative filtering.

It's supposed to be able to, but based on the success rate of installs, I wouldn't bank on a success rate for removals. Does the traditional rename the client folder work when reinstalling still? If so, just deleting the folder from Program Files might work? Or scorched Earth it and format the machines?

Yes. If they close the classes in Bromcom, then they move to being archived.

Yes. If the rosters are just changed, and the classes aren't closed with an end date, the class will just roll over, all contents included. It's not the best way to do it though. Really should end those classes then create new ones.

I can't say we've ever experienced any performance issues with Bromcom. The only time I ever see any kind of slow down (and it's only for myself and not for anyone else) was in the early days when I would trigger a Google sync. That's clearly me hitting the buffers when it comes to database queries, rather than a system wide issue. Have you tried testing against different OS's and browsers to see if it's a device issue? Could it be a traffic prioritisation issue?

If this isn't on the line interference then I guarantee this is 2.4GHz interference. Wi-Fi could do it, Microwaves could do it. Where is the base station located? Next to the router?

Web based and Android versions should work fine. You can even configure the Chromebooks to login with your 365 Login. I would certainly consider why you're not moving to Google fully if you're looking at Chromebooks, but that's just me. Yes, 365 works fine with Chromebooks. You might want to watch this, which will help you massively. As always, test before live!

It's by design, as the EU/UK are requiring age verification by law (Audiovisual Media Services Directive). This means they're not available for EDU accounts it seems, and as YouTube in Schools isn't a core service, so isn't a supported service, then it very much seems like there isn't much we can do. Nothing as of yet as to how things might change or be altered in the future.

No, you can switch off access, so if they're signed in with their account it will say "Google Maps is not available for this account".

Nope. They can't. Google's APIs (quite rightly) currently don't allow for screenshots to be taken without the user being aware and approving the screenshot being taken.

They used to announce the next cast on Dave too. It's two series a year and they film two blocks of series tasks at the same time, usually. So Series 10 and 11 were filmed last Spring and Summer. The studio work for 10 was in the Summer, and the studio work for 11 was filmed when Series 10 was airing in the Autumn. Series 12 and Champion of Champions 2 have already filmed their tasks. They've filmed Champion of Champions 2 in the studio which will air in the Summer (probably August) and they are currently filming the studio work for Series 12 (which is why you got the footage of them in the studio at the end of the episode) that'll air this Autumn. Series 13 and 14 should be filming their tasks any time now. Series 13 studio filming will be done when 12 airs, ready to air it in Spring next year. Well, depends what you mean by stretched over a few months. The actual tasks are done in two windows, both in really short period. So you might have four days of filming total, in a block of 3 days and a 1 day pickup a few months down the line. Something like that.

The buzz for both wasn't exactly great was it? It's not easy to say for certain that they'd have made any decent amounts of money as a cinema release. I rented it on the day it came out. $427m worldwide. During a Pandemic. I will rent it day and date on Disney+. I won't be heading to the cinema for that one.

You'd hope, but they need to announce an end-date to IE mode in Edge and Trident engine support for those developers to pull their fingers out and fix their solutions. Otherwise, they'll leave them stagnate but rake in the cash.

This! One million times this. Its procedural failure, not technology. You say you want something that doesn't require the website or calendar to be open, but you can't guarantee the computer will be on and logged in either. So unless you install a flashing red light, or use a tannoy then whatever you put in, someone will come up with a reason as to why it won't work as the procedure needs fixing, ultimately.

This is the basics of their job. It's a simple task they should be able to remember to do. I don't think technology is neccessary here. You'll have attendance officers who can spot a missing register, and alert the teacher and escalate it to the Head if it becomes a regular occurance, I'd have thought? This certainly has the feeling of one or two have an issue, so let's send alerts to everyone so that we don't single out the problem and instead annoy the whole group!

You don't need to ask for consent on anything that is considered business critical. If you've got something (like SIMS, or your computing platform) that would break your ability to deliver your core working, then you can put the position of "its non-negotiable" in place, basically. You still need to have everything in place as if you would be asking consent though. That's a complicated mess created by the COPPA law, and Google being ultra-cautious about it. I get why Google want it in place, but Google can be a little idealist about how schools operate and work.
