  1. We're migrating everything over from G Suite to O365 in the Summer. Does Defender do everything I've mentioned above?
  2. Currently looking into replacing our on-premise instance of Sophos as they're discontinuing it in a couple of months. We use it for: Anti-virus and malware protection Web filtering Application control Device control I can't find anything else that does all of that in one console like Sophos does. Should we just migrate to the cloud version? We could fragment those roles with other software, but I like how it's all manageable with one client at the moment, which installs automatically and reliably. What does everyone else do?
  3. This is what we currently do with Cunninghams. They're desperately trying to keep us now - free upgrade from Impact to Fusion, 3 free new tills, promises of improved support...
  4. Is there an option for a PIN rather than a card?
  5. I've been asking to do this for two years. Keep getting pushback. "It's expensive and we don't need it as we've never needed it before."
  6. Might be bumping a dead topic here, but we're looking to tender for a replacement for Cunninghams at the moment. Our contract is nearly up and the support we've had from them has been rare and of poor quality. There seems to be a culture of poor customer service in their support team that they are unable or unwilling to address. Who should be looking at? From this thread I've seen a few: Biostore NRS Easytrace LiveRegister Vericool We are a Bromcom school, do they offer their own cashless catering system, through MCAS, maybe? We'd like to have fingerprint devices as well as PINs for each user, our Revals are being used less and less so happy to ditch them and go online payment only. Our main requirement however, is a reliable system that will run things like day end reports automatically, but with timely and competent support should we need it.
  7. We just have an analytic to alert when the Policies page of our site gets more than 10 hits in day. That's when you know...
  8. If you can load the driver for the USB network adaptor into your imaging solution, that generally works. I just booted them from a vanilla Win 10 USB image, then added software from ninite.
  9. What are the legalities around schools donating their allocation to another school? We're a Secondary, they're a Primary in our trust who have been allocated 10-12, but don't need them. They've said we can have them. Is that OK to do?
  10. Yep, 40 or so in Year 11 who left. 300+ in Year 7. Very bottom heavy distribution. Even current Year 11 is only two forms.
  11. Due to security concerns, we had to remove Local Admin access from the user last week, and now Etimetabler doesn't work any more. Any news on that web based version, Bromcom?
  12. Is there a way to appeal to the DfE for more? We had a few last academic year, but have been allocated 0 this year, despite nearly 300 new students joining since September.
  13. Has anyone got a reliable supplier for Legamaster stuff? We inherited a couple of screens through our trust, but they misplaced the remotes. Ordering remotes through the official channels (Edding in the UK) has been like pulling teeth, and our usual suppliers for other kit haven't been able to source anything. Literally just looking for the standard remotes for them, and maybe the external IR receivers as well.
  14. You have to be joking. Not only is the THE WORST written application I have ever had the misfortune to attempt to install in a 20 year career in IT, but it won't even work with a network file store? What an utter, utter shambles. I didn't know IT could be this backward in this day and age.
  15. If we've been allocated 0 in this latest round, is there a way to appeal or apply etc.? Definitely have some kids who could use them.
