Danp Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 We have had a splattering, nothing interesting and not enough to stop us from going on the roof to test wireless links to external buildings!
elsiegee40 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 It's been snowing all morning here. Teeny weeny flakes mostly and they're not settling. We had some bigger flakes for a while that looked more serious, but they melted on impact and the stuff that fell last night is thawing.
hardtailstar Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Snow here about an inch in places. but its all slushy as settled on rain, roads clear but pavements are like puddles.
rickjames Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Yeah about an inch or so; was chucking it down quite heavily but nowhere near cold enough to create an issue. School open, standard.
TheScarfedOne Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Nothing here as expected... well except a nice layer of blooming hard ice which needed scrapping
rad Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Home, had about 4 inches (Bucks), work had about 1 inch which has gone slushy. Still coming down but not doing anything.
HarryMonkey Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Started snowing at home at lunchtime yesterday, was still snowing at midnight. Had about 3 inches or so overnight and it had just started again when I left this morning.
rad Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 So after light snow all morning, it now starts turning heavier, big flakes of snow. So this is the third MONDAY it has snowed, how do I know, because I have to do a lunch duty on a Monday, standing outside in the cold!
X-13 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 So this is the third MONDAY it has snowed, how do I know, because I have to do a lunch duty on a Monday, standing outside in the cold! Should be wet play. [it is here.]
HaleStorm Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Should be wet play o_0 taken out of context this could be perceived as being very very perverse
X-13 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 o_0 taken out of context this could be perceived as being very very perverse Well, it's a good job we all know the context in which the comment was made.
HaleStorm Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 absolutly...its those darned internets whats gone and tainted everyones minds
rad Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Should be wet play. [it is here.] I work in a secondary school.
witch Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Well we had a bit of sleet, then snow, then a blizzard, then snow, then it stopped and started melting- all within the space of an hour and a half
mdench Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Anybody else wake up to a light dusting this morning? On the drive in already saw the queues forming at the petrol stations and people loading up with bread and milk
sonofsanta Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Less than half an inch of powder (how I wish I lived somewhere with hills, I'd be phoning in sick and off with my snowboard) and already we've had emails round saying one bus is cancelled, two are stuck behind broken-down lorries and another can't get through due to an accident on the A1. Not doing much to disprove the stereotype of the British & snow here today!
sparkeh Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Anybody else wake up to a light dusting this morning? On the drive in already saw the queues forming at the petrol stations and people loading up with bread and milk Yep a dusting here, nothing to really cause any problems, but of course the cold weather seems to freeze some drivers brain who insist on driving like idiots at the first flake.
tech_guy Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Blizzard conditions on the A46 south of Coventry then clear through Coventry and up to north Warwickshire. The M6 southbound at junction 3 was stationary. Saw lots of people driving like muppets. The roads were gritted yesterday but you wouldn't have known it. We've got more snow forecast for this afternoon.
hardtailstar Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 (edited) had a light dusting of snow over night in the deep south of kent, just had a 5 minute blizzard which hasnt seemed to have layed. Edited March 11, 2013 by hardtailstar
elsiegee40 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Light covering on the cars when I got up. Blizzards within half an hour. It's slacked off again now. The forecast for my bit of West Kent is not good
Gatt Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Naff all here but a freezing wind that would give brass monkey's something to worry about..
X-13 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Naff all here but a freezing wind that would give brass monkey's something to worry about.. First day I wear a shirt in ages... and it's [censored] freezing.
Pyroman Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Was good fun driving through it on saturday night after our gig, it's the only time my van looks like it's going at warp speed when the snow's coming towards you =D (max speed usually 60MPH)
