Amber warning for tomorrow from the Met office for the North East but I doubt if we will be closed, won't know until the morning if I get a phone call that is! more likely to find out from my senior techie who manages the website.

Advantages of updating the website, you know first.

Disadvantages of updating the website, you get woken at stupid o'clock.

I dont mind getting woken up, but only if I get to stay in bed all day!

My road has been closed by the police - mainly because people use it as a cut through for a main road and that in the last 3 days 4 cars have been written off into lamp posts!

Roads are mainly fine here although have started getting very icy.

I'm not sorry to have shed that responsibility. Not only was I updating the website, but I lived closest to school. So the decision had to be made based on the view from my windows. It meant I was just getting up at stupid o clock to text the HT so she could officially make the decision I suggested!

Main roads here are fine but side roads could be a bit icy in the morning..

Our place is closed, actually there is naff all on the website yet which is very poor just an email from the principal to all staff distribution list (Despite the fact all the students have an email and a all students distribution list too...oh never mind!).

I think this could quite possibly be the best Monday morning ever :D

Well, we finally got the snow today - though our council seem to be rationing the grit as, despite the amount of gritters that have been whizzing past, we still ended up with enough snow to cover the tread of my tyres resulting an an impromptu 180° slide out of my street onto the main road!

Fortunately I wasn't going very fast and didn't collide with anything or anyone!

Though the guy approaching me suddenly realised just how fast he was going as he tried to brake without hitting me and skidding off himself!

We are open today (Worcester). We had light snow for most of Sunday but it didn't start to pitch until late afternoon as the temperature dropped, so we only got a light dusting. It's the really difficult stuff to scrape off the windscreen.

That's what I was expecting to get up to this morning (a dusting of snow is worse to remove than ice!)

About an inch round our way and was still falling as I left...

We were in the orange on Friday, school closed for kids at 1:00 local staff had to stay till then but the rest of us were told to go so i was in at 9 and out by 10, was hoping for something similar today as it is snowing and all the buses were delayed but its due to stop at 11 so its unlikely -.-
