Well I drive this to work, so I've not got much of an excuse for not turning up when it snows. :D

You'll need it this afternoon I think. We are due for quite a heavy drop of snow.... for once :)

*Thanks the Lord I have 4WD.

I'll believe it when I see it! Preston seems to be a black spot for snow actually sticking. Its snowing now fast, but its not going to stick.

That Photo was taken at Beacon Fell on Monday where there was about >2"

Daughter claimed she needed to buy a shovel to get to her hall of residence in Lancaster this week. Snow never stuck when I was there either :D

You'd need a garden VAC to make a snowball in that picture.

Well it certainly did dump a good load on us, 2ft seems small where its drifted / gritters ploughed it to we have got some 4+ft heaps, thankfully my investment in the 4x4 and Snow Tyres has paid off no issues getting to the road today or being a good son and collecting my mum from work as she doesn't like driving in these conditions at all so my dad took her and I collected her :)

We have snow again right now. It is falling on ground that is wet from rain earlier in the day and so does not look like settling at the moment but it is having a good go at it [snowing quite heavily: Flakes are small] Edited by 6Foot2

We had 3-4 hours of light snow this morning leaving a half cm covering, now its sleeting and its all gone again, but we are meant to get some seriously heavy snow over night

Thought we might have gotten away with it but it's coming down here again and it's settling too :(

Oh well, at least I don't have to drive tomorrow

3-4cm here. I can hear dripping, so it IS melting a little bit in some places. Just used the broom to clear the car off, and it's part-frozen under the snow.

The estate roads are covered...it'll be a "follow the tyre tracks" moment. The snow tyres shouldn't have a problem.

The main roads...I don't know. I can see the gritters were out yesterday and 3am. 10am start for us.

Snowing all night but the roads are clear and easy to get through. Plenty of snow to clear off the car without gloves mind you!
