@witch My daughter had space problem on her iPhone. She ended up wiping the phone and starting from scratch, regaining two thirds of the space. I think apps etc fail to release temp storage or something.

if this works let me know as my HTC is going out the window next time it says low disc space.

I'm pretty sure that one car park fits all (except lorries and coaches that have their own area)

Many of the exhibitors will be staying in hotels and will probably leave their cars there rather than try riving to ExCeL each day. However, on Saturday I imagine the car park will be more busy due to the DLR partial closure and the exhibitors wanting to go home straight after BETT closes.

Personally, I would not drive there on any day at all!

Im coming down sat what part of the DLR is closed? Couldnt find anything about closures when trying to arrange travel.

I'm yet again not allowed to go...but look out for my Line Manager John from Civica...and give him free things to bring back to me

If its because you're not allowed out out work, there's always the Saturday!

You really wanna look into rooting it and trying a custom rom.. This'll be because the app partition is way too small, if it's a common problem for the handset they'll be an alternative

Try the xda forums?

For a first timer at BETT is there anything that is generally always worth a look at, apart from the obvious things I'll be looking at for specific work areas?

Just wondering if there's something I wouldn't think of :) If that makes sense.

The Microsoft Partners in Learning crew are usually good for interesting ways to use tech in the classroom, if you can catch a few TeachMeet Takeovers they can be good fun and any of the C@S related stuff should be interesting to see.

Because the venue is different and there are some folk who are not there anymore (Adobe didn't make it last year either, for example) it is hard to say "this is usually a good thing".

Monopoly, can I be the car :D

You'll need a plane methinks if you wanna play ;)

Stupid stupid question. I cant find the bit on the BETT website where you can annotate the plan with the stands you want to visit.

I was looking at yesterday and now I cant find it and nor can mrwITch

Am I going completely mad??

It's gone from the website, link now goes to a PDF, but that link (from @Steve21) worked, so useful, though the app may be easier to use on the go.

If you have the app you can save favourites.

Ben

WARNING - The updated app has borked previous settings. Be warned, and if you use it to plan with, don't take further updates. All my favorites and notes got moved to other suppliers! Which means they didn't tie the info tightly to the exhibitor, just a position in the list it seems. :(

I'm having to travel in from Heathrow on the Saturday morning - I was wondering if I can purchase a 1 day travelcard from a bus driver (1st part of the journey is a bus ride to Hounslow West Underground station) or do I have to wait & purchase the ticket at Hounslow West?

Tube from Heathrow surely? Whatever terminal you're at there's a station.

I think you'd have to buy it before hand. Can't you buy it at heathrow, even if you don't take the tube from there.

Sorry should have clarified - I'm arriving at Heathrow on Fri night but staying overnight at a hotel nearby. Hoping to not have to go near Heathow on the Sat... I wonder if I could purchase the day ticket on the Fri but not use it until the Sat.

From what i remember you could definitely do that in shops, so i'm sure you can do it at the station too, you just might have to go to a counter.

@SteveB If you buy it at the counter, you can specify what day you want it for... i.e. buy it in advance. Not sure about the machines
