Edu-IT Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 What's happened to this years stand cam? Coming soon.
rickjames Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Was good to attend but I bailed on my hi-vis. Spent my day mostly nabbing free stuff and hanging around Microsoft/BYOD kinda stuff.
Domino Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Was good to attend but I bailed on my hi-vis. SLACKER!
elsiegee40 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 In Learn Live C for 'Everything Governors should know about ICT, but might be afraid to ask' I'm a Governor... I might have to ask a question or two
OutLawTorn Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Was nice to drop in and see everyone who was there today (putting some faces to names), as well as seeing BETT generally to get an idea of the sorta things that the educational sector in the UK are looking at (compared to back home in Aus)... i might drop back in on Saturday to see who else is around
victory2012 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 anyone had any experience with parking at excel yet? what was it like and what time does the car parks open?
mattianuk Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 spent the day there, back tomorrow. In hotel with a beer now. I didn't even get near efugeek stand!!
X-13 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 efugeek Go home, you're drunk. Day 2 of 3 done... So damn tired. So much stuff.
mattianuk Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Ha! Only on second, sat in bar as it appears the wifi in the premier inn in Greenwich is shite.
X-13 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I'm quite tempted to book a hotel for tomorrow... It was a nightmare getting home, it took me about 2 hours.
Dos_Box Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Problems with the ExCel firewall. Zero Hour working on solution.
elsiegee40 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Getting home considerably easier than getting to BETT this morning... and family had dinner waiting for me. Let's hope PFY isn't on temporary traffic light duty in Tonbridge tomorrow morning. It took me longer to get to the station than it did for me to get from the station to London!
X-13 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I may actually say hello to you tomorrow @elsiegee40 I did spot your turtle [on your badge... still sounds weird] but I was a bit too shy to say anything.
witch Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 @X-13 you can say hello to me tomorrow too - I'm pretty recognisable really although I wont be wearing the hat...
elsiegee40 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 (edited) I may actually say hello to you tomorrow @elsiegee40 I did spot your turtle [on your badge... still sounds weird] but I was a bit too shy to say anything. Oh for goodness sake! I'm not scary! Well only to teacher-types. You are required to introduce yourself! . Especially as you're the one made famous by the map on the wall @X-13 ! I shall have my HT under supervision tomorrow, but will still drop by with a few more physical eduhobnobs Edited January 31, 2013 by elsiegee40
X-13 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Especially as you're the one made famous by the map on the wall @X-13 ! On the map, but not near where I actually am. I have a feeling it's our proxy being weird. [bloody RM!]
OutLawTorn Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 On the map, but not near where I actually am. At least your country is on the wall at all 1
elsiegee40 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 At least your country is on the wall at all I think yours was behind the sofa
Devontechie Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 On the map, but not near where I actually am. I have a feeling it's our proxy being weird. [bloody RM!] On that map? What's that all about?
X-13 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I think yours was behind the sofa Everything ends up there.
elsiegee40 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 On that map? What's that all about? Big map of the world on the wall of the stand with a few edugeek's identified on it. @Gatt seems to be in the Scottish highlands and @X-13 in Lincolnshire (ish)

X-13 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 @X-13 in Lincolnshire (ish) Not really. Google maps puts the difference as ~150miles [a 3 hour drive] I'm in Dagenham.
