Help please! All of a suddent students are able to reply to staff posts in all class teams! even though we have the setting on the prevent them posting and "Only owners can post messages" they are still able too.. has anyone any idea why and if so how do i turn it off? this has happened from today or sometime this week

yep i think i remember this is where i had issues as our students move around a lot and use a lot of laptops mobile devices we were seeing this on a regular basis... maybe they have increase the limit however that is why i went ahead with device based activation in the first place..

the last time i used Shared computer activation it was a nightmare as the user count quickly filled up and was activating based on the users limit, now if thats changed then i should be ok, ive also found out that the new device based activation is only for EES customers ! just on the record this is the worst time microsoft could have made this change, im just glad we havent got a full school at the moment!!

This is an absolute nightmare i was in middle of rebuilding all my stations in the school i now have half the school unusable as office didnt delpoly and everyone is using teams at the moment.. all because of Microsoft!! ive now got get my head round trying to setup the new device based activation trough azure and i havent even got any Office 365 ProPlus for Education (device) licences for some reason!!.. i must have missed the small print ! everything was working fine last week....... arghhhhh

Many thanks for your reply and solution, however this is not my problem my UPN's are correct , i am not changing the UPN's i am changing the samaccountname (username) of the user and for some reason this breaks login to 365 via adfs.. still have no idea why..

it would be their upn [email protected] however adfs auto signs in using domain\samaccountname .. so i thinking adfs issue?

UPN is correctly set we want them to login in school using their 3 letter codes.. so Management want the usernames changed to three letters. e.g UPN is john.smith at present samaccount name is jsmith but will be changed to jsm. i just dont understand why i cant login to 365... i thinking theres issue with adfs but no ideas and nothing seems be on google about this issue directly other than brief mention about surname changes when someone gets married

Hi, thanks yes issue being im not changing the UserPrincipalName so they are the same i am changing the SamAccountName soon as i do that and syning occurs i cannot login to 365

is anyone knowledgeable about 365 and syncing with AD.. We have adfs and azure sync all setup everything is working great, however we want to change everyones username (samaccountname) to another format. Issue is when i change my test users username from jsmith to jsm he can no longer login to 365, we get an error when signing in "The SAML 1.1 Assertion contains no ImmutableID of the user." only way to get it working again is to change the username back again. If anyone has any ideas would be great i need get these usernames changed asap. Many Thanks

Hi , ive managed to sort it, though i had no idea what was causing it, we are using windows 10 , i applied all the latest updates and the issue has gone. So i would recommend anyone with the issue to make sure the client is fully up to date. Thanks for all your help.

Can anyone help, sims is driving me mad, our data manager is trying print reports off but for some reason it is printing every other report, so student a and student c is printing but it misses out student b and d , its absolute nightmare and i cannot find out why it is happening. Thanks

we have around 30 pc cases old HP 8100 sff .. we removed all the hardware as we kept hard drives cd drives fans processers etc.. as spare so we only have the cases to getrid off, how would you suggest we dispose of in the correct way has anyone had to do this before? Thanks

Please can someone help me, cunninghams support is awful!!! we have had a problem for 3 days where parentpay isnt syncing with the cashless system and balances are not updating.. doesn anyone know what i can check or do to resolve it.. 50min i waiting on phone to Cunninghams this morning to be told they will call back!!! absolutely dreadful services, they knows it will be busy at the moment get some more bods in!! Hi thanks for message, im using new education latest anniversary version, im not sure why it is happening, as soon as the user log off s then goes to another pc logs on the start menu has no tiles at all, if they log back on the original pc tiles are back, its like they are not roaming its so frustrating, i thoguth the start menu xml would set the start menu everytime they logon soon as i turn roaming profiles off it works fine because they get new profile on each pc every time which is local, at moment might be my only way to preserve settings, problem is this is not what i want i really want , i wanted use roaming profiles, shortcuts are on both pcs they are identical builds so not sure thats the problem. 2012 r2 .. im sure it was activating windows 10 before i upgraded to the anniversary edition.

grrr why did they change it, i have same problem cant work it out!
