  1. Would something like NoMAD work for you? https://gitlab.com/Mactroll/NoMAD
  2. If it's the XServe 2006 version, I believe the actual issue holding you back is the fact it is a 64 bit CPU however uses a 32 bit EFI/Firmware. There are bootloaders out there, however, that can change the original 32 bit EFI to 64 bit (here's one example), allowing you to use Yosemite Thanks!
  3. Intel Core i7-5820K, EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti - System Build - PCPartPicker United Kingdom This may be complete overkill (actually, it is) but if speed it what you need from the SSD, you'll see the differences in using a PCI-Express instead of a SATA connected SSD. I hope you didn't need a case included
  4. Netflix?
  5. Try a PRAM Reset: OS X Mavericks: Reset your computer’s PRAM - see how that goes, should sort out the fan issues. There is a terminal command to create a bootable USB from downloading the Install OS X Yosemite.app from the Mac App Store (Creating a bootable OS X installer in OS X Mavericks). Although these instructions are for Mavericks, should apply to Yosemite as well. Tom
  6. Could you try making an external USB drive with the Yosemite installer and try to install it that way? Installing the OS on top of an existing installation just rewrites the system files, and leaves your data safe. Let us know how it goes, Tom
  7. Seems to be working from my end here, could have just been a small outage possibly?
  8. Not much point to this thread, but its a cat doing 'dressage', and it's honestly made my day.. (Simple things..) (Say hello to the dressage cat | Metro News)
  9. Freshdesk may be what you're looking for (Freshdesk Feature Comparison | Must-haves for a best-in-class help desk solution | See which freshdesk plan suits you best!) - unfortunately, it isn't free (well, the free version may not have advanced enough reporting [i don't use this help desk, I just know people who do!])
  10. What qualifications have you currently got? If you're watching networking, switching and VLANs don't really come in until CCNA 3, however CCNA or Network+ are the ones I hear about the most when it comes to networking, if you're wanting a qualification out of it.
  11. Had the same here - they actually contacted & invoiced the school (I gave them my office address and details but the school's name [stupidly] that I thought would be interested, they obviously did some Googling). Luckily sent by recorded postage. The guy from the stand was trying to make a sob story about the fact he had driven 150,000 miles to get the content for it. Agree about the point to avoid this company. (Sorry for bringing up an old thread)
  12. I like it - I heard the CEO of Box was in the front row, would liked to have seen his face when they released iCloud Drive.
  13. Source: WWDC Live (http://www.apple.com/apple-events/june-2014/)\ "Objective-C without the C" - the conference room went live when they announced this. Wasn't expecting a whole new programming language. (I'm not a programmer, just thought I'd post about the news) http://tctechcrunch2011.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/img_0267.jpg http://tctechcrunch2011.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/img_0256.jpg
  14. You can tow anything up to 750KG or where your car and the trailer don't weigh more than 3,500KG. Anything over you need the B+E entitlement!
  15. Seems to be a DHCP/DNS problem where it can't lookup 'deploystudiopcserver'. Have you got an A/CNAME record linking the IP to that host name?
