snugara Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Hi folks, I'm not exactly new, just re-registered as I got myself lost...a good start for a Data Officer! This is my first job in a school, specifically a secondary school in NW London. I have worked with databases and Excel before, but from my current level of experience and knowledge, that was just on a pedestrian level...my learning curve has been STEEP . I am a fan of SIMS and wish we could use it to a fuller extent. What works for us is to analyse data externally through Excel, which gives us more freedom to look beyond the numbers. I've learned a lot through these forums so many thanks to all who have ever posted here, I can personally vouch for the helpfulness of many posts. See you soon! SN
River Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Hi been lurking a while, time to break the silence Been working in IT for a while and in schools for 5 years

Keep an eye out for EduBytes South Central meets when those of us from Kent to the west country meet up for an informal lunch and a chat. The last one was at a pub in Salisbury before Christmas.
