Hello guys Patrick here, I've just joined as the Apprentice IT Technician at Preston Academy in Yeovil.

 

Been advised by my Lead IT Tech to join up so here I am :D

New IT technician to a Hampshire School, Ex- Teacher of Comp Sci.

Much preferring the technical role to my previous one.

Welcome 700 pupils = 5600 sticky fingers and 1400 sticky thumbs you'l need a lot of hand cleansing gel but good luck anyway.:D

Just saying hi, I'm new to this forum and looking for all the help I can get. I manage a primary school of 700 children in Weymouth.

I used to work in a primary - watch out for 'little fingers' twiddling every single knob (stop sniggering at the back ) and pressing every button

 

and stuff will also get spilt down the vents on the PC (blame the kids - the teachers will)

 

but the kids are wonderful and most of the staff will probably be as well

Started working in my new school in York in March and have been browsing for a while, thought I'd say hi and thanks for the help so far, I've found a bunch of helpful topics and will contribute whenever I'm able
