Domino Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Our alcatel omnivista management program for the phone system. java based, unintuitive piece of rubbish, constant crashes and cryptic errors. 1
Hightower Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I'm with Korifugi on this one - absolutely anything released by them apes that like to think they can design software.
DAZZD88 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 At the moment -Serif DrawPlus.... If I don't get anywhere quick with it, I'll be posting a new topic soon What problem are you having with it mate?
mattx Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Mediator 9 [ never wants to Activate correctly ] & anything by Phillip Harris. Oh and anything written by me that does not work correctly - [ scripts mainly ]
Guest TheLibrarian Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Currently CrazyTalk 5 Pro. It requires an internet connection during install, a separate license key per station, and then their blasted install validation .DLL crashes and removes the product. Six days later and their tech support are still blaming the PC / OS install even though I've tried this on different PC's.
DAZZD88 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Haha, Mediator, Serif....we have all of these. Our problem is our Head of IT goes on training courses and the what not and sees software that looks great....then she purchases it. Funnily enough this is how we've ended up with a Mac Mini and a Macbook in our office. OOOO shiny...
chazzy2501 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 pulsar.exe or SIMS workstation! No Deploy package! Won't work in Vista (with UAC on and has to be used with local admin rights!) Needs a mapped drive (again with full control access) Needs special users added to local security groups. (again effectivly making SIMS user a local poweruser). The software was made for windows 98 and it's still there.
mattx Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Mediator 9 SNAP !! Just had to MANUALLY edit the .ini file so it shows the CORRECT serial number it's NOT picking up on the policy install - pile of kak no doubt written by a bunch of baboon morons.
chazzy2501 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 cs3, autodesk OMG! how did I forget these! audodesk: requires a locked down (to server and harddrive) macrovison protection making backups of the server redundant as they won't work! CS3: Impossible for a non-programmer to deploy. (programmed my technician instead;)
ful56_uk Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Pro engineer 4, multi media science school as it only works with quick time 6!
