shreevie Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Hi all, I was wondering if some would be good enough to help me. I'm currently looking at some bandwidth issues we're having with Iplayer and was wondering if some wouldn't mind posting their results from the URL below: BBC iPlayer - Diagnostics During the school day we're currently getting enough bandwidth to play radio or the lowest version of video (if we're lucky), but at the end of the school day we're able to all versions of video (makes sense of course). I'd like to try and get some comparisons with other schools, i'm especially interested in any from Warwickshire.

ChrisH Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Yes, I'm jealous *Stalks off in a huff * No HD for you We haven't had our fast connection for long, we were on radio for a long time before that and that was painful at times.

elsiegee40 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 No HD for you We haven't had our fast connection for long, we were on radio for a long time before that and that was painful at times. Broadband is rubbish round here. No cable option and we're in a town only 40 miles from London. Must try this at home (I live 10 minutes walk from school); the broadband is even worse at home
Michael Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Ours is around double that... on a 100mb line That doesn't sound good value for money then! I suspect your ISP may not have enough bandwidth at the core of their network if there are too many subscribers.
keithu Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Download speed: 120075 kbps Streaming Speed (1): 10521 kbps Streaming Speed (2): 21092 kbps Streaming Speed (3): 12856 kbps on a nominally 100Mb connection.
