Thanks for that info Mic, it was what I thought but always best to check these things out first! Disk access shouldn't really be a problem as we're running it from 3*HP P4000 15K SAS boxes and a sister school in our fondation is running on the same platform with no perfomance issues.

We are currently running Facility, SQL & ePortal on the same VM and have been advised by Serco Support to move ePortal to a dedicated VM to help with performance issues. Does anyone know if we can get the new instance of ePortal built and configured whilst users are still running on the old one and then just get them to move to the new ePortal server when we're ready? We would then schedule in the necessary downtime to uninstall ePortal from the original server when we're happy. Thanks

Had major rage with Sibelius recently as they put through my upgrade order from V4 to V6 on the same day that they released V7 having sat on the order for 2 days. I contacted Sibelius about this and ended up in an email conversation with the Sibelius 7 product manager and he told me that it is company policy to not announce upgrades and that I would have to purchase a further upgrade to V7 I pushed this and explained the timeline of my order and that the company didn't need to process it on the release day. The end result was that he arranged a cancellation of my original order and replaced it with a V7 upgrade. So I got the result I wanted but I'm certainly not impressed with the company and think that alternatives will be looked at in the future.

There are ways to make any printer airprint compatible if you install some software onto your print server or the PC/Mac hosting the printer you wish to make available. One example of this is Enable Airprint in Windows and use any printer.

@Chris01 They do come with some software to provide basic interactivity it's called Epson Easy Interactive Tools. As an alternative free solution you could look at Sankore. The video over wireless problem is well known and effects other projectors that offer wireless connections, I think it might also warn of this limitation in the documentation.

@bossman Get in touch with Paul Gaines at the LA can't remember the name of the last firm he put us in contact with but it was about £4-5k for 2 units in a full IT suite. Other option is to try Acrol, they service our units and used to be LA preferred supplier of AC.

When logged in as a local admin account you can't change the workstation to be a member of a workgroup instead of a domain? As to why never really got to the bottom of what happens, its one of those infrequent events that just seems to occur.

Use the local admin account as opposed to a domain account.

You don't need to rebuild the machine, just unjoin from the domian, restart and then rejoin the domain should be sufficient.

Check the RMC3IENGINE service is started.

As previously stated you can only do this by editing the dll file, or editing your background file to place the logo in the correct place so that it appears to be in the frame.

The instructions are there, I've not done this as it is against the EULA, I was merely advising you on the only way to currently achieve what you are trying to do. You have a few choices either live with it in its current form (what I do here), use the background image workaround (which with care should be perfectly achieveable to create the desired look) or break the EULA and hack the dll.

The only way to do this is to edit the authui.dll as stated in my previous post.
