What network do you run in your main Curriculum network? I'm just curious as to what people use.

I don't want this to go into a RM vs Vanilla ware please :)

Winsuite....:getmecoat:

:(

Wow that takes me back. My first education job was a part time job while I was at College to help a local primary school. Their IT teacher was off long term ill and they had OFSTED coming in at any moment & IT had been commented on last time round. Go in and find 3 versions of Winsuite with no passwords or clue how to use them. Cracked them all. V pleased with myself :D

Those were the days!

Gladly! I understand the pain you are going through! I have Winsuite installed here

On the plus side - It's being exterminated this summer :laser:

Vanilla here - come summer both domains are being torn down and a shiny new one put in its place :D

Then along comes BSF .... :(

Vanilla rules OK. Still have remnants running CC3/successmaker as a cost-nothing system. This will go this year. Also will combine Admin and Curriculum (at last). CC was too restrictive for what the college wanted to do. :)

We were on viglen til I came along 3 years ago. That was one my first major tasks. The school were paying for it, and I asked why? We're on vanilla now. Its easier to manage and mantain. Why make things harder for yourself?

Ranger here but am starting to use more of the vanilla settings and keep saying we'll remove ranger but it always ends up being next year lol...

still got a few schools running this im trying to wean em off it and as we are now installing 64 bit 2003/2008 servers winsuite 3.5 isnt supported so next server upgrade its gone. It was good for 98 pcs but as soon as you get 2000/xp (and eventually vista/win 7 will have to happen) boxes its pointless

CC3.

Going Vanilla WS2008 with a VMware ESX bottom end.

Funny, that's precisely the direction we're heading in, we currently have CC3 as well. I just need to 'fully justify' the extra expense for that solution over the cheaper quotes we've received for a 'traditional' network setup. I don't think I'll have much trouble doing so thou.

I would do it all in house, but time is a bit on the short side this summer.
