  1. I've been using NetFlow for about a year now and it does 95% of what I require. Setup and management of users is easy. I am talking to the company about further enhancements (Teacher Console) which would suit my situation. Currently I'm using it to manage 2003 R2/2008 R2 servers and XP desktops with the possibility of W7 rollout in the near future. All taken care of by NetFlow. The company DMS is a "lean and mean" outfit who are mostly ex-Akhter, in my opinion, the best bits of Akhter. A very experienced set of people.
  2. Vanilla rules OK. Still have remnants running CC3/successmaker as a cost-nothing system. This will go this year. Also will combine Admin and Curriculum (at last). CC was too restrictive for what the college wanted to do.
  3. Being from the NorthEast a Nettie is a toilet... usually outside. A famous painting in the NE is the Westoe Nettie. LULU (the singer) was known as the twin seater!!! I think the quality of the product has tenuous links ...

Try the Dell UK Site Dell Deals Enjoy
  5. Register your smartboard hardware here SMART - Registration and they will send you a key for the software. I found that you only need one key even if you have multiple boards/installations.

    Snow

The sky at Stansted is the same as always, grey, overcast, wet. I think it's been this way for years, never any sun. We don't have snow - just a heavy frost which brings the M11 and A120 to a complete halt. I think the weather dictates your mood. Moan, whinge, grizzle... Give me the NE anyday... it may be cold but at least its changeable.
  7. I've been using them for at least 5 years. Good to work with. :D Even helped me out when I ordered wrongly (Bad day).

  9. Mines an easy one ... back in the days of PDP/VAX networking uniqueness was needed therefore first 4 of surname plus first two of christian name. Mostly worked but there were exceptions. I also use Earwig 'O' (hence the earwig avatar) - from what they shout at football matches ...
  10. I've had one of these for a year now and from new it never worked well Reports on the net do not rate this printer at all. I've not had this error but I would suggest that you upgrade the firmware first. The errors we were getting were all because of a firmware failure and were totally unrelated to what was actually happening. If you can get HP to repair then do so but I've found that one of the first things they say is ... has it got the latest firmware installed.
  11. I take it that this includes Essex Schools!!!
  12. G0GZU - The Ham gear is in the attic ... in boxes.
  13. Going thru the groups.. I gotta belong somewhere....
  14. You can sometimes get rid of the long filenames by renaming the directory above the one you want to delete. Not foolproof but works sometimes.
